big bear snow run

Wanted make piute mountain but had a late start so we ran up to big bear. The snow was deep past 7500' aired down to 4psi to make tank tracks. On the way to the John bull trailhead I hit a gully and broke through 10" of ice and below was 3' of water. I plowed my way back and forth and created an ice wall behind the truck, alot of digging and ice block moving and I was free. On the way out 7:30 we ran into a group of boyscouts that were snowed in, they were at the scout camp since friday morning when the storm rolled in. There was a minivan, a two wheel drive 4runner (why is it called a 4runner), a two wheel drive chevy pickup and a stock 4 wheel drive chevy pickup. Aired them down and a little tow action a couple miles to the highway aired them back up and they were on there way. Had a great day with no casualties

Infectious rescuing stranded boy scouts? You mean you didn't just pass them by as our friends over at channel islands? Oh boy I bet abendx is going to take over now. Lol
