Good point, no reason to start a war.........its good to know that people in our group help each other and anyone else we run across on our runs. Even CI4X4 members. :Thumb:

True that. It is never good to sink down to the lower level. Always be courteous to others and word will spread.

Well im really happy that I am associated with such an awesome bunch of guys, all shitting and gay jokes aside I think that anyone associated with us knows that we are all here to help each other out especially in the worst circumstances when your stuck knee deep in mud or need to get dragged over and over and over again in Calico "thank you Chris". :Thumb:

Wow just read the channel islands thread and it seems to me as it was all your fault abendx.

Count me out of that club theres a few that understood the point of your post but for the most part 9 out of 10 did not. I think they missed the part where you already had help on the way, the part where you where not wheeling alone and your partner in crime was on the side of the road with "hazard" lights on. Not sure what you where thinking but this was all your fault Brad.

Yeah... weird, right? I thought I was just trying to make a point to think about it next time... they cater to a lot of noobs, but the experienced ones seem to be as much in the dark. Oh well. Here's the link for anyone that cares... but no need to go there and bash, they are doing a fine job of making themselves look stupid on their own.

They are totally misconstruing the conversation. If they would open their eyes and read all the way through they would have read the parts of your buddy you wheeled with was up making a call... Also, you are just trying to let them know that you are just trying to make a point. You were safe and things were being taken care of. It is just common courtesy to stop and check. It takes a roll down of a window and 2 seconds to say, " Hey buddy, you all ight?" That's it. I'm sure this was not an intentional thing they did to you just more of a lack of common 4x4 sense. And also just being a nice person. FYI no matter what club I am weeling with or what sticker you have on the front of your jeep, I will always stop to make sure someone is ok. Sorry if this offends some of you, but that is just the way I am. And I know many others here are the same way. May this be an awakening to both organizations. If you see someone just ask if they are ok.

I think.... that Infectious members know the deal about being good citizens on the trail.

They (CI4x4) seem to be taking it personal, when they should be taking it as a lesson.

Of course it rubbed me wrong, but as you can see, I was trying to make it into a good thing (teaching point). They are seemingly unable to take constructive criticism.

Whatever.... I am glad to be associated with all of you, even if GJ sold me bunk stickers. :thefinger:

Ok, I went and read the thread on CI4X4....I don't think carrying on with this would help anyone and just start a war.
abendx I see your point of view and I can see some of their members point of view. Hopefully in the future it will cause everyone
to stop and check on a stranded traveler, as the traveler should let others know that help is needed.

That's my 2 cents worth.

And that Pete was in a Red Tundra?

I don't know... apparently I should take responsibility. For what I am not really sure?

Oh yeah.... once I said fuck when I was about ten years old. They claim to be a family site and might be punishing me for my digressions.
