Calico -- 10/23
First let me say.... this run was super gay. Not because it was bad wheeling or bad company on the trail, on the contrary, the wheeling was great and the company was top notch! What was gay, super Big Gay Al gay... was all the losers that dropped out at the last second. No names need to be voiced, but you know who you are (Henry and Victor and Ryan).
What I don't get is that we are a friendly... open bunch. If you guys wanted to keep each other company and make pig noises in your tent after dark.... it would have been okay. If you wanted to go behind a big rock and fondle one another.... it would have been okay. If you wanted to openly show your love for one another on Victor's pink rotating mattress... it would have not been okay. Really, I have to draw the line at open displays of gay affection. But I digress.... without you guys on the trail, the rest of us were uninspired and had no one to peer pressure us to do anything fun.
While I would love to go on and on about the bad Infectious members, let's talk about the good ones.
Larry, Scott, and myself drove out for a day of wheeling and a night of BJ stories.... fortunately for me, Larry brought his beautiful daughter Layla and the BJ talk was tabled for the next run. Scott also brought his son Seth, whom drove for a good portion of the trail and showed the rest of us up.
We started by running Dorian, then shot over to some super secret lookout that Scott knew about, then back down through Odessa, and on to The Gatekeeper. We all had a lot of fun and after a very quick run through The Gatekeeper (Scott is an amazing spotter... Larry, not so much
), we headed back to camp, had dinner and some good story telling.
All of my pictures can be found here. I will hopefully add to that album when I get Larry's and Seth's pictures (surely much better).
Carnage was limited. We had one broken valve stem, one very bent sway bar link, one crushed corner and taillight, one torn off bumper, and some general scratches to armor and bodywork.
Here are a few pics to keep you interested in seeing the rest.
