Shredder Canyon - 8/6

So... yesterday we decided to hit Shredder Canyon. This is a short trail out in the desert... maybe 1/4 to 1/2 mile long. Mark described it to me as a mini Hammers.... and I'll go with that description. Originally 5-6 rigs were suppose to show up.... but only Tilly, Mark (riding bitch), and me showed. I guess the others did go out, but went to a different trail altogether? Oh well... the two of us were nimble and had a blast.

For those that have not been on this trail, we gotta do it again. I'll let the pics/vids speak for themselves. There are more lines for a well setup buggy than a full bodied rig... but lots of good lines are available for a well setup rig. Breakage is likely, body damage is pretty much going to happen. Most obstacles have bypasses, but looking at the ground in ditches next to the bypasses shows them to be the less than safe route.... lots of broken windshields, leading me to think lots of roll overs.

CARNAGE: Tilly lost an axle u-joint. Thing busted up pretty bad. We got some shit pulled and was back on the trail in no time. The rest of the carnage only came in body damage. Who cares, right?

Not many pics taken, but we got a bunch of video that I have to go through. Here is a couple of teaser shots from the video.

Tilly was killing it as always and Mark... well that dude is something else. He was running up and down mountain sides to make sure Tilly and I had good spots to hit for extra credit. That guy rocks!

I'd produce and edit the video soon.

And here it is.... I present for your consideration. Although, I can't take much credit here, I stitched together some amazing video Mark caught. I hate to say it, but having his rig down could work out for a bit.... I don't mind keeping beer in his hands if he keeps shooting like this!!

As I stated above and as you are about to see... Tilly is a MADMAN. Apeshit fits!! Gotta love that guy. :drinks:

BAD AZZ vid man :Thumb:

I LOVE me some Tilly :salute:

Looks to be pretty mild for a Jeep if you stick to the main drag, but with the bonus lines you can make it as difficult as you want. I like trails like that (lets everyone participate). Lets do another run out there when it cools down a little.

Would you say Shredder is better than Mottino?

Yeah... Tilly is a MADMAN. Love it too!

There were some bypasses, but there were spots that didn't have them.... some of the bypasses were barely make-able, I would say lockers would be a requirement at the minimum.... oh them and an aversion to a nice looking vehicle.

There is likely other good stuff out there as well... and we made friends with a local... he had us over for burgers and beer after we got done wheeling. Nice guy and he left an open invitation.

Oh yeah.... I'd say they were equal, but different. Shredder has much harder stuff, but Mottino makes you go through all of it's stuff, since there are no bypasses. Neither were as hard as Scrambler.... although, the right lines at Shredder would be way worse than anything I have ever seen out at Calico. Stuff few buggies would even attempt. Confused?

Thanks to you! :thankyou:

You know... I might have to redo that video. I think you should be listed in the credits as the "most excellent spotter!"

Stunna Shades, abercrombie and fitch shirt 2 sizes too small, and dildo with functional rubber testicles! The doors are definitely off the Jeep now.

It is private land and off limits. The police regularly patrol this area and write citations for trespassing, etc..

But... there is the possibility of getting around this with the right authorization... something we now have. :Thumb:

I'd say to run this... 35s, locked both ends, and a huge amount of "I don't care!" are the requirements.

As Mark mentioned.... it's basically a mini hammers. The pics/vids do not do the trail justice, IMO.
