Wednesday evening: Brandon- blown motor on Chocolate thunder. Roger- broken carrier on Chocolate thunder(but i made it) :thefinger:
Thursday morning: toyota up on jack stands, axles and carrier out, wandering through hammer town. the guys from the "marlin crawler" pits hooked me up with a used carrier, by mid-day thursday, i was back on the trails.thursday evening: josh rolls the sammy over backwards and catches on fire
on the "back door" gets it back on its wheels and drives it out, only to return in 15 minutes to try again(that boy is crazy) :thankyou: turns out, he broke his transfer case mounts and was unable to complete the obstacle.
Friday morning: watched all the racing. Friday evening: josh pulls his transfer case out, pulls brandons transfer case out and installs it in his sammy.
satuday morning: headed out to "outer limits" :hitfan: :hitfan: :hitfan:
about 30 minutes in: i sheared a pin on my rear axle leaf springs, and the axle rotated, and josh's rear drive line looked like a jump rope.
we McGivered my axle, good enough to get back to camp BUT,,, josh wants to continue up outer limits (did i mention that boy is crazy :dig:) Old age and good sense won this time.
Saturday evening: the wind is whipping our camp site into a dust bowl disaster, so we hauled ass to yucca valley, where we sat down to a mexican dinner and cocktails :Thumb:
sunday mornings weather: SUCKED, so we packed up and hauled ass.
vids & pics coming soon

I wouldnt really call it crazy i would say it was good video and one hell of a time!!! oh i have one of those every time! haha. the hammers is a great place to go it kinda makes you not want to go anywhere but there. and roger you damn sure got the old part right :lol2: :lol3: :thefinger: but if you would think about it if we went thru and finished outer limits with a few not so got parts that would damn sure be a acomplishment!!! When i was playing on back door and let the crowd talk me into a bad idea i might not have made it but one thing for sure is they never remember the buggy that just jumps right up the waterfall they always remember the one that said the hell with turning around and giving her hell. i DIDNT makeiti got :owned: YET but that night i think me and samantha was the heros for great video!!! it is always a crazy adventure when we go somewhere. AWESOME TIMES!!!! I cant wait to go back after i fix a few things and also put in my double t-case. and just for the record i wasnt even tanked when i flipped! :wings:

what was your plan if i lost my rear axle, and/or you lost your rear drive line? i'll remind you,,, your drive line looked like a jump rope near the BOTTOM of outer limits, and i started out with a damaged locker and f-cked up pinion gear ,, ended up with duct tape holding my axle in , and sitting on the rear bump stops. :moon: OH,,,,, and let us not forget,,,,,, we had already broken most of brandon's harbor freight tools by this time(orange handles) thank god UPS delivers to the outer limits :Thumb: other wise i'd have to winch the the carcase
all the way out of there........... THAT's older & WISER :thefinger:

HAHAHAH, once you get off the "kiddy trails", JV will kick your ass.

I went on Sat/Sun = broke front driveline/yoke to transfer case, 1 broken hub, electrical issue - and limped out of Wrecking Ball at 6:00am in 2-wheel drive and got on the trailer.

Then got it all fixed and went back on Friday/Sat = Broke TC shift cable, evap issue causing engine computer problems, flat tire (plugged), and broken hydraulic fitting. I limped off of Sledge in 2-wheel drive with the jeep barely running and got on the trailer.

Did you guys run Persian Pleasure?
