Snow Run 2-19-12

7 rigs showed for Zak's snow run.

Snow was very slim pickings. Considering how great the snow pack has been the last 5 years, this year really sucks. So, it was more of a mud run than a snow run, but still fun as hell.

We found a nice slope in an open area to have lunch, sled, shoot, and build some snow men (I made a snow Trevor). I think the adults were having more fun than the kids.

CARNAGE: Justin lost a bolt for his front track bar. An XJ slammed into the back of another XJ coming down Rancheria, causing a busted grill, bumper, and lights. A Toyota decided to go swimming and found out it couldn't breath underwater, had to pull the plugs and shoot water out of the chambers.

Overall great day and fun time.

A short vid of us playing in the snow (ignore that the date is wrong in the vid): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WtU8Wo-Wvs

Thanks for setting this us Zak!

I had a good time. The kids had fun. Sorry for breaking your sled Larry. Last time I had a vehicle breathe underwater it broke two rods and put them through the block. I got lucky this time. Here's a pic

I'm just as wide as you Jeff (full width siddies with 14.5" wide tires), so you could have made it. We have to dig a trench against the side of the log to secure the passenger-side tires so you don't go over the side. You can see us digging the trench in a couple of the pics, Robert (Sandbuggy) taught me that technique last year. CJs, XJs, YJs, TJs, and Toyotas without 1-ton axles make it through fine.

Cool thanks Chris. I had a leak between the intake and block. Had to tear it down to reseal it. Fun. Wish i could have gone with you guys and gals.

Here is the missing piece of RTV. Weird it just happened. The motor only has a thousand miles on it.

I did take my daughter to the snow to play on Sat. Up in Tehachapi. Flexed out the Acadia!

I hit aj in he middle of a turn cuz everyone decided to stop. I busted his tail light and my grille light and bumper, went to the JY Monday and fixed both jeeps for $60+ the cost of paint to match my white.

I just need a tubing bender and some 1/4" plate to bend up a better front bumper :)
