WTF? Posting a run report and not even being there.... tisk, tisk. Shit, your brother missed his own run, tisk, tisk.

Anyhow... you bitches missed a lot of cocks and tits. We saw old man dick and young girl boob action.... oh um, sorry BIGFOOT (but in reality, you had way better ones!).

We made girls cry, made boys pee themselves, and created a mushroom cloud!

The party stopped at 4am..... IDK where all that time went?

All in all... a great run. I'll let someone that was in attendance for both days to make a proper report.... Zak?

Calico Carnage, Gilligan's Doran tour, or whatever you wanna call this run was a great time...

It started off like a normal trail run, similar to a 3hour tour.... :dontknow:

Everyone was ready and making new aquaintances on sat morning, once prepped we went to Doran.

4 brave/bold decided to start the day on gatekeeper while the rest of us went around the bypass and looked on.

Infectious was 1/4 on Gatekeeper, Brad showed the line and made it look simple. Zach found the week spot in his steering linkage /\, Alex found a new way to break a lockout hub, and JcHoward broke a lockout traditionally.

Trail repairs ensued for those that had enough parts or ingenuity to get something going.

As the repairs were completed Aarron found a new spot to roll a jeep in Calico, on flat ground.....

Believing the longest part of day was over everyone loaded up to go up Doran. All was well through 20 minutes of trail then Goatman's Cut decided it wanted to keep a Toyota. After much begging and pleading Alex got his toyota out of the Cut.

The group then rounded the corner to its next bit of excitement. The vertical climb/wall, which didnt look so bad that day, Everyone was going well until after I was up and getting moved out of the way I heard a loud "pop", and GJ called forward to me to back up.

JeepDeere was broken on the wall. We hooked up a single winchline to the back of my rig and tried to winch/tow Justing up, more parts broke.

So now we hook up a snatch block and pull some more, the jeep came up enough just to get its front tires over the ledge only to see the driver's tire with serious camber issue.... \

Carnage on JeepDeere, Driver side axle joint, Passenger side axle joint, rear driveline yoke adapter, and the most special failure, upper ball joint pulled out of socket and lower ball joint pulled out of inner c...

Trail repair impossible you say? cant fix a balljoint on trail without spares? ICE Recovery quickly came up with temporary fixes and tools started flying, a couple worked on the front end while others worked on getting the rear shaft out.

We were able to the knuckle back on the axle housing enough to safely hold the tire straight under the Jeep. Unfortunately we were unable to restore any drive power to the Jeep.

The recently built whitesnake rig took on towing duty, with GJ quickstrap in front when needed. We decided we wanted to try to get to blacktop instead of towing out on a trail. quickly we got lost(well not lost but without a true direction) gps/maps/google earth all showed some routes to get to blacktop, we were just unable to find or determine which of the maze of roads they were.

As it got closer to dark, we called the scouts back and decided to go a way we knew. We headed for East Phillips loop rd to tow JeepDeere out on the easiest trail that also led back to camp. The only worry I had was the Nasty hill climb to get up to it, as I always went towards Odessa then up the hill out of Odessa to get to Phillips.

Luckily I wasnt in front, Mikey was in front and led us to West Phillips Loop which I had no clue existed. This led us out on a much easier route than East Phillips.

Back at camp finally, after 10hrs on one trail..... Grills, Drinks, and Fires began... It was a Great Saturday Night and you really need to go on an overnight run to understand, but Dayum Infectious knows how to have a good time.

Sunday morning came with groggy heads and questions of what did or did not really happen the night before.... Chris had showed up in the evening on Saturday and wanted to run trails for sunday and he didnt have to beg for company.

As people were packing up, Desert Dog, Whitesnake, and SasYoda. Headed for Gatekeeper, revenge was the name of the game.

Chris walked it so fast there is no video maybe two camera shots, just a damn good job.....

I attempted it next, I made it up most of the way, but found the next part of jeep to fix/upgrade. Tried several times, different lines, but couldnt make it up with the cutting brakes not working. After struggling for so long in the hole and remembering our luck from the day before I backed out with some assistance and we headed for camp.

Got loaded up and headed home....

Whew... that was a lot to type....

Thanks all for a good time, Matt...aka Whitesnake

So, we had quite a weekend. Here's Zak's perspective.

Got up there Friday afternoon at like 6....parked and set up camp. So far, so good. Time to start drinking.

Our neighbors were a bunch of drunk idiots (read: IOR future recruits. lol) and were shooting bottles full of gasoline all night. They quit blowing shit up around midnight, and we kept drinking til 2 or 3. First night was GJ, Ruth, Samantha, Katie, Zak, Connor, Jake and Mikey/Melissa bed around 3 am. Wake up to the sound of gunfire and explosions around 630 am....ahhhhh Saturday. Matt, Becca, Brad, Alex, Kody, Bigfoot, Boobie chick, family in white XJ, Aaron, and a Scott and co. in the LJ show up and we head out on the trail at 11am or so. After above mentioned carnage, trail fails and being semi-lost in the hills, we made it back to camp around 10pm. Then the savior himself was there! Chris had some kick ass margaritas already made when we pulled in and they really hit the spot. Apparently tequila makes your clothes fall off, and a bunch of rowdy guys behave like....you guessed it.....a bunch of rowdy guys.

After several attempted "Sobe bombs", we finally got a good show out of one and it was cool. The night continued on with some drinking, poo poo talking and good ole' fellarship, which is why I was drawn to IOR in the first place. This time, bed rolls in around 4 am after we piss all the entertainment off. No neighbors shooting shit up tonight, so we got to sleep in until 730am.....obviously not enough after 10 hours in the heat the day before.

I fried my little Pep Boys compressor trying to air my 37's back up to 55 psi (the only pressure they don't shimmy as bad at)....guess who needs onboard air? Spent another 45 minutes using the AMPM compressor and then pulled onto the road...as soon as I hit 30 mph, the violent shake set in...no steering stabilzer + questionable alignment + bent tie rod = parked overnight at Peggy Sues diner. Thanks to Josh for loaning me his car trailer to go pick her up tomorrow.

The moral of the story is.....we all got drunk, a bunch of us broke some shit, Chris brought some cool stuff to raffle off from 4 Wheel Parts (Thanks Desert Dog and 4WP), a guy almost got pee'd on but was saved at the last second by a beer can flung in desperation that hit him in the chest, he woke up just in time to see the offending pee sources in within a foot of his face.

Special thanks to everybody who waited patiently while we all made trail repairs. It sucks sitting out there when you could be wheeling, but sooner or later, we all break down and its nice to have friends around that may have that extra tool you didn't bring, or an idea on how to get you fixed enough to get off the trail. I try to follow the Army value of "Never Leave a Fallen Comrade". I'd rather lose some wheeling time than leave someone behind potentially stranded.
Thanks to MFDD for bringing the much needed booze that helped everybody unwind after a trying day. Thanks to Scott and co. in the LJ for helping me fix my tie rod. Thanks to Matt for pulling Justin back to camp. Thanks to Mikey for navigating us back in the dark. Thanks to the 18 1/2 year old for succumbing to peer pressure...lol (don't worry, you weren't the first, you won't be the last, and nobody thinks any less of you...its just a complication of the Infection)

Once again, we had a blast, even though shit broke and we were stuck on the trail for a while.....So lets plan a mountain run before long....Maybe camp at Evan's Flat or that area. Hopefully it'll be cooler up there.

I hate the moment of truth, as you have labeled it. Only scary part on the entire trail (at least for me... a lot of people think I am a big ol pussy for being scared there?).

Someone should do this old man a favor. List all the rigs with all the people in them.... I have maybe 1/2 the names (split between wives, children and us). As some of you (all of you?) have witnessed my complete lack of the ability to recall a name until I have met you two, sometimes twenty times. SO please take no offense and please help this old man with issues out.

And oh yeah.... GJ, get home. You have the bulk of the pictures/videos!
