:owned: I believe this run had the most carnage of any of our runs in the past. Post up any damage/problems from the trail or things you found wrong afterward. :owned:

Thread rules:

- Only post the damage/problems from your rig, not others (It's their job to shame themselves, although feel free to PM them until they fess up :hitfan: )
- Try and keep this thread on topic, I want to get an idea of all the damage without mucking through off topic stuff. So I will prune off topic stuff.
- Repair cost would be awesome if you know it.
- This is a damage thread only, all other stuff goes in the AFD run report thread.

Ill start this thing off.

I didn't have any immediate trail damage, pulled into camp sat night no problem. But Sunday after packing up the Jeep and saying goodbye to everyone I got in, started the Jeep and then attempted to shift into drive......nothing happened.

The transmission end of my shift linkage had broken off completly :suprise:

All I have to say is thank goodness for bailing wire. I got under the Jeep while Matt cut me lengths of wire to tie it all together. Made it to Bakersfield and then home with the fix. In fact its still like that. :dig: I will post the repair as soon as I do it.

I shattered my driver side hub attempting Gate Keeper (thanks a lot BRAD) jk. Luckily I visited a junkyard the day before and pulled a spare for $10.

Plus the usually rock rash on my rock guards and corner guards, nothing a $5 dollar rattle-can can’t fix.

Total repair costs = $15
Total on trail repair time = 15 minutes
Amazing weekend meeting new people and crawling some rocks = priceless

Ok so I haven't opened anything up as its stuck on the trailer but what is seen is both front axels, driver side ball joints, and rear drive line.

Cost after everything is said and done $30000.00. No it's not a typo.

All this won't happen again a least at the same time. Lol

30k for repairs Justin? You saying that's what the pink rubicon cost???

My damage was a bent tie rod and destroyed steering stabilizer.

Tube to sleeve tie rod....$5
Steering stabilizer...........$35

And jchoward....that hub fix was a little more than 15 minutes....but still a fast fix, and at least u only had to "fix" it once unlike that guy with the bent tie rod on the green tj

I didn't really have much to fix either, I found out that day that my driver side upper control arm bushing was toast, after fixing one I noticed the other was on a fast road for being toast too. I did pinch a tire trying to find an escape route out of calico i clipping a rock in a wash and totally jacked up my alignment, i Also got lots of rock rash on the sliders :). For a new tire mounted and balanced with new warranty $42, alignment free, upper control arm bushings $16, rock rash will stay there :) its the only way "real" jeeps know Its not just a grocery getter!!

$58, lots of thrown tools, bumped heads later the jeep is back on the road.
