Accidental Freeway Ridge (aka Craig almost pooped his pants)

I just came down Freeway Ridge in my stock '13 JKU on accident. My only mod is a Teraflex Leveling Kit. Just wanted to warn other beginners to research the area they are "exploring" before just randomly driving down roads. I was out flyfishing today and decided to explore down the Keyesville road that starts near Isabella Dam. After driving a good ways it seemed on my map that it would be quicker to continue on instead of turning around. So I kept going and made it through some minor obstacles, and decided I should push on rather than retrace my steps. "How difficult could the rest of the trail be", I thought. Well, I should have turned around. I was not disco'd and had no tools to do so, no jack, no winch, running the stock Goodyear 32" SRA tires. A few places I was teetering with opposing front and back wheels in the air and I got really concerned.

I ended up making it down without any damage, but I feel that I was extremely lucky. Be careful out there and don't do what I did. I've decided too that I better make one of the newbie runs so I can get some help learning how to use my Jeep properly on trails. Very glad I didn't end up like the pickup truck I saw that had gone over the edge off the road up there and rolled. I went down to check it out, hoping there were no dead bodies. Luckily it just had a note on it that they'd be back to tow it later.
