Infectious Off-Road.com

Well... my trip was cut short. Partly due to the wind, partly due to some allergies, partly due to nine days of being at it was starting to feel like too much of a good thing.

Pictures... well, not much from mine... maybe someone else took one or two? lol... guess we were just having too much fun.

First day was a warm up, up Chocolate Thunder.... it was chocolaty. The rest of the evening was spent doing what some of us do best. There might even be a YouTube sensation in the works.

Second day was a fun little run up Jack, up Wrecking Ball, down Claw, and then up FOH. There was no party night two since the wind was blowing a cool 40 mph sustained. That gets interesting when it's 40 degrees outside.

Third day... AJ, Randy, and Cruz went home... between the winds and AJ having enough of a long trip, it was enough... Wayne sat in camp with some mechanical and we picked up a few guys to wheel with. Decided, since the wind was still blowing 40 mph... to hit the back side.... so we started with Outer Limits, ran up 19/20, then over to Aftershock before calling it a day. I was back at camp by 3:30 to pack up and head home.... I planned on staying til Sunday, but enough was enough.

Carnage included two yokes, broken fan belt, and one roll on a bypass (it was pretty bad... endo, into a pirouette, ending in a barrel roll... everyone was shaken up good, but unhurt. We got the buggy over and some fiberglass work will fix all the damage).

I was the sole representation pre-running the course... I must admit... I do love me some TBs!

Report from the lakebed states that Cliff broke R&P today... another out.

The carnage part sucks. I am kinda glad Im home. My heater rocks!!!! And no wind!!!

Can't wait to get there!

Cliff had the nasty roll? Im glad everyone was OK and the rig was able to drive out.

I'm going out to work this one. I think it will be my last. It's just too crazy, and too many people. I used to look forward to it, now I kinda dread it. And i don't get to wheel at all!

Yeah.... my thoughts exactly. I go out and enjoy it the week before and I can say I was part of the festivities. It's not cheap to get out there and the weather is often miserable... it's a hard sell to get me out there without the benefit of some wheeling.

hmm , i was thinking of driving out tommorow just to watch LCQ since ive never seen it , only main race... but with all this weather ... making me not want to go and waste a drive

But, you may get a better view of it on the live stream.
