Ridgecrest 2/22/14

We had a good turn-out of well built rigs show for this run. Jeremy brought a new guy along with a totally badass Juggy, and he wasn't afraid to take the bonus lines. There was a little mix-up / Drama while trying to find the trail - and Brad ended up not running with the group and doing a trail run with bobbed burb, who was running an hour and a half late. Hopefully, Abendx posts pics of that run as I was really looking forward to seeing Mark's suburban buggy in action. The weather was as perfect as it gets.

We ran URF Canyon, which is definitely a trail for 37"+ tires and beefy axles. This trail has many optional lines which can be categorized as extreme. One Juggy broke a front shaft and CTM joint, and I cut a brake line and replaced it with my spare. Everyone was in the mood to take the hard lines on this run, and as a result, I think everybody had at least one flop. The run went very smoothly and nobody had to be towed. We were back to the trailers by 4 and back home in time for dinner.

Video coming soon.

why do you think Bill had his legs spread, and his ankles up by his ears :lol3: :lol3: :lol3: :lol3:
what a great shot, perfect timing :Thumb:

i really enjoyed this run. the trail we took was challenging, with one obstacle after another. the truggy had zero problems, until the last waterfall, when bill flopped, i turned around to help winch him back over. everything was going fine, then my winch locked up, and we had to turn bill loose.

i think everyone flopped :hitfan: except roberto, if he did, i missed it

Let's just say... most of the folks on this trip can't be trusted.

No need to respond, your lack of one when you saw me several hours later was enough.

All future runs will be invite only.

Was that when we heard you over the HAM radio telling everyone to fuck off when we got to the ridge and something about going home?......or when you walked up the trail mumbling a bunch of obscenities when I said hi to you and Mark after my roll? At least Mark shook my hand and said hello :moon:

No one on this run had any ill-will toward you that I could tell and they seemed a little shocked by what happened. I would gladly wheel with any of you fuckers any day.

Just so you know, when I heard you pissed off on the radio, I went driving around looking for you. I even drove up to the highest point and tried to contact you by HAM and cell while everyone waited. I had no idea where the hell you went, why you split off the group, and I don't know how to get anywhere in that area if I got separated. We assumed that you put you Rig on the trailer and went home like you said you were doing on the radio when we got reception on the ridge. Hopefully I'm on your future invite lists, but if not its been fun.

Brad- Not sure how we were separated. I recall the group driving by you when you were stopped looking at your GPS. I know we went over one hill and the group noticed you were not there. DD turned around and went looking for you and the rest of us waited for about 20 minutes. When he came back without finding you, I assumed you went back for your friend that showed up late.

But I can tell you without a doubt, if there was ANY nefarious intentions, it was Bill's fault.

No its , "I've fallen and I still have the camera",,

As for Brad , I assumed he would have simply followed us when we fell in behind Robert, had I known he stayed I would have gone back for him, if nothing else to ascertain his situation. I have liked Brad since the moment I met him and feel the same way today. I like wheeling with him and am confident I will in the future. In our core element of trailblazer wheelers Brad's personality , likeability and the fearless manner in which he attacks the trails, has always gotten him an invite and will again. I'm sure what happened Saturday was an issue of mutual misunderstanding. I did not have the opportunity to speak to him during the day but had I , you can rest assured my intentions would have been to address and appease his issues. When we do meet and talk I will most likely be drinking beer and he will be hitting the loco weed, I'm confident we will both just laugh it off.
