My brother and I got there Friday evening, so I don't know how much fun was had on Thursday and Friday, but the stories around the campfire told of a good time.
sorry i missed all that :banghead:
My brother and I unpacked my rig and ran "chocolate thunder" then back to camp
to relax

Saturday morning 6 or 7 rigs headed out to a trail that none of us had ever been on.
It took a bit of searching, but eventually we found the beginning of the trail they call
"off your rocker"
the trail started off with medium, small, & loose rocks, with an occasional larger rock
thrown in just to f*ck with you. this trail was very technical, treacherous, and sketchy
at times, very stressful for Me.
though we had minimal carnage, there were a few trail repairs made, and all rigs made it
back to camp under their own power.
there was an incident on the trail that was so dangerously close to tragic, but i'll let others describe it (hopefully with pics.) cuz i showed up after the fact.
the afternoon run was a trail I hadn't been on, called "jack north"
i believe there were 6 rigs on this run also. same as the first group, minus Robert, Richard, and Wayne, but add Jeremy, and Greg (I think  )
i enjoyed this trail, i was far less stressful, with more play time :wings:
again everyone came back in one piece, except I had no brakes.
My bro and I left about 7:30 Sunday morning, but the story continues with the rest of the group :drinks:

Cliff, Bobby, Joey, Richard, Chris, Becka, Wayne, Jeremy, Greg (I think), Mark, Robert,
Bill & Marsha, Cruz, Randy &,,,, AJ The Chair Murderer

these people know how to have a good time :drinks: AJ,,,, maybe a little to good :drunkbuds:

:thankyou: thanks for havin me along
see ya soon

VIDEO OF RUN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khk-LHxS6d8

On Friday, there was a lot of breakage on some pretty tough trails. On Saturday, we decided to run a new trail that was just found last winter, called "Off your Rocker". It is definitely a technical buggy-only trail, and although not as difficult as a few other trails in the area, it is very steep and treacherous in spots. I forgot to turn on my radiator fan before going full throttle on a side obstacle for about 10 minutes, resulting in a blown hose that had to be repaired on the trail. When backing off of the waterfall that I broke my hose on, I had a really stressful moment where I rolled and was stopped by the tip of a rock before going 100 feet down the side of the mountain - I GOT VERY LUCKY! See pics below.

I had to limp back to camp with only 2 gallons of water in my 5-gallon cooling system. Goatman lost a fuel pump and an ORI strut on that trail. Robert had his fuel cell split, and went home after some epoxy got him off the trail. Wayne was having engine problems after giving the big waterfall hell.

After recovering from Off Your Rocker and doing some quick repairs, we decided to do a run up North Jack with the XJs in attendance. The XJs got more than they could handle and the buggies stayed occupied playing on the numerous side obstacles. Roger lost his brakes, which isn't fun if you have ever taken the steep road back to camp from the mailbox. Roger lost his master cylinder and was out for the rest of the run.

On Sunday, we decided to do resolution and guacamole. On the way to resolution, we decided to stop by backdoor because we heard it is dug-out something wicked right now. Sure enough, it was in VERY bad shape (worst I have seen) and none of us got to the top. Its hard to believe that we were climbing that in jeeps a few years ago. Resolution is one of those trails where every boulder moves when disturbed, so skid-plates got a great workout. Everyone picked their way through and up the waterfall with little drama. Guacamole took out Randy (axle shaft/U-joint).

In attendance was Desert Dog & Becka, Bill & Marsha, Cliff, Richard & Franklin, Wayne & Eileen, Bob, Joey, Robert Lostandbloody, Roger & Lorax, Jeremy, Greg, AJ "the chair murderer" & Cruz, and Randy. I was a good group of 9 buggies and 2 XJs.

Great vid ,,,, the ending was a little disappointing , you didn't get naked, you didn't have a brass pole and becka wasn't in it ???

Prior to your arrival other carnage: Robert had a dead battery , I split a fuel line , and Waynes driveline fell apart. After you left Cliff broke his front driveline right in half on 19-20 I had to tow him out

1) The second half was edited out for "common decency". I did indeed get sexy.

2) Although not brass, a pole was involved.

3) Becka begged me to keep her part of the video private :brows:

Yep, stop holding out on us :moon:
