BC109

I got invited to do a run with the Channel Island 4X4 Club with Brad (Abendx). There was a large amount of rigs from stock to built trailer queens.

We did an easy run up West Dry Canyon. I took a few rigs through "butt crack", but like an idiot, I decided to keep going past the turn-around spot to see how far I could go. I ended up wedged in a spot and had to use a tree to winch myself out.

We then took a side canyon off of BC109 that I have never been on before (they call it "Snaggle Tooth"). It is easy-moderate, but full of little side obstacles. Brad just got a new lift and 37s on beadlocks so he was testing out his new stuff. He went through one section where you have to climb directly over a 2.5ft rock. Brad scraped pretty good with his big lift and tires, so I knew mine would be worse. SO I broke one of the golden rules and tried to wedge myself around the rock using my passenger side slider. It didn't work out and I ended up landing right on my door! (pic below). I didn't give up and ended up climbing over the rock anyway.

Time for tube doors!

Unfortunately I have to fess up to my mess up because brad got it on video :thefinger:

Yep, sometimes when you climb on those concrete trash can, they tip over and cause damage

I love it at the mall when assholes in the parking lot throw their doors open right into my Pure Jeep sliders; "Mall Armor"

And I love you like a sister Jeremy.

I am down for a run anytime... although I am in the middle of a bunch of steering upgrades (new tie rod, drag link, track bars, knuckles, and I even pulled the trigger on hydro after I busted a sector shaft last weekend running Bullfrog).

Randy is helping me get the knuckles in tomorrow and depending on how it goes, we might make a super secret run to John Bull.

How is your Jeep?

my jeep is fixed cosmetically but still has the same suspension problem. it is raised too high for the 93 inch wheelbase and it is not stable on inclines or declines. So i dont know what to do, i dont have the money to do a stretch (around 3500 dollars). Even dropping it back down to 5.5inches would cost alot because id have to get 4 springs, shorten driveshafts, and 35 inch tires. or keep my 37s and get flat fenders as well as the other stuff (around 1400 dollars). i have the money but i need to use it on a house down payment sometime here soon. So i dont have it for the jeep. Ps you are the best sister ever haha ......would anyone chip in for a fix jeremy's jeep foundation? lol

just kidding, i have 5.5 inch springs in back with a jks spacers. i am pretty sure i dont have to shorten my drive shafts. so all id really need is a pair of 5.5 front coils, and some flat fenders. :wings: ps that is so cool i wanna go on a super secret run!! no fair!! i cant sleep tonight :freakout:

John Bull. When?

Come on B-Rad, you and Randy need to come out of the closet about your secret run.

Randy wanted to keep it between us.... he didn't want anyone to see him teetering upon death while is four year old was laughing up a storm. Seriously.... it would have been bad ass to get pictures of it. As he was descending the waterfall on Deep Creek (we ran it backwards), his front tire got pulled up on a rock and one of his rears ended up several feet in the air while the Jeep was nearly vertical. Talk about some pucker factor. He ended up having to kill the engine due to lost oil pressure while I fished out a strap to hold his rear corner down while he eased out of the near endo. In the end he got out of it fine and the kid had a belly ache from laughing so much.

We ended up running Gold Mountain and Deep Creek.... John Bull had several feet of hard packed snow/ice on the trail and we could only see the tops of the rocks... I think Randy said they were four foot tall rocks? It was too dangerous to run with the ice and not being able to see the obstacles. Plus we are girls when it comes to wheeling.

We weren't sure how the Reid Knuckles would go in, so we were not sure when/if we'd run Big Bear that weekend.

Also.... glad to hear you got your junk fixed Jeremy. Maybe you'd like to run BC109 this weekend.... I heard Chris wimped out.... he couldn't handle the bad ass H2 kid. :stirPot:
