Edelbrock Exhaust Manifold

So it's been on the jeep for 4 years or so, and on monday I went looking around for some exhaust leaks that have been growing lately. I was thinking I just needed a new gasket. Well it wasn't. One of the welds around the collector was 90% cracked all the way around. There was plenty of other cracks too. I guess you can say I'm rather disappointed. I expected something that would last, and the welds themselves looked like they hadn't really penetrated the material. I welded up the cracks and put it back on. No more exhaust leaks. Made my jeep run a lot better too. My flowmaster had a lot of cracks on it too that just developed in the last year. welded those too. They appeared to be from a sudden change in temperature. probably creek crossings, or snow runs.

I had Doug Thorley Headers on my 97 XJ for about 4-5 years. Never had a problem
