New guy with a Suburban

Hey guys, Don't know if I will fit in here. I'm a little big for all the jeep trails I think. I have a 87 Suburban. It has a brand new 355ci TBI/ 700R4/ 208. It has 10" of lift with 38s. I have a Dana 60 sitting in my garage that's going in soon. It has a 14 bolt with disc under it now. I have some 5.13s and a Detroit ready to go into the axles now. I have 5 8 bolt H1s and I am getting some new rubber soon. Plans are to lower it a couple inches, install my 10,000lb winch and build some bumpers and sliders. This is not a street rig, I am not afraid to bash it. I painted it thirteen yrs. ago. So I am not worried about the paint.
I hope to wheel this pretty hard in the coming months.

OK guys, I know Im going to get flamed about my junk. I don't care. I would like to meet some people and go wheeling and have a good time. My wife and I just had our first baby 2 weeks ago, so the build is slowing down a little bit. Hope to see you guys on the trail!!!

Thanks guys. Mickey, is your suburban the one for sale in the for sale section? Let's see some pics.
I can't wait to get back in the woods! It has been parked since 1998. That was the last time it was registered. When we found out my wife was pregnant, that's when I had to get it back on the road. It has running for only three months now. There is so much that I need to get done to it.

Hey Mickey, is yours the one in the for sale section? My burb has been sitting no-op for 12yrs. When I found out my wife was pregnant, I had to get it back on the road. It has been on the road for 3mo. I painted it 12yrs. ago. The paint has held up great. There are a couple runs in the paint, but a few bushes and shrubs should take care of that. I have a ton of work to do to it, another 5k and I should be good for awhile. I havent wheeled it yet since it has been running. About three months ago, after it had been registered for three days, I was heading up to BC109 when the motor blew on the way. Now there is a new motor in there.
The problem will be if I break up on Freeway Ridge, Its to big for anybody to get me out, So, I need to make sure its in stout working order!
Talk to you guys soon!

As for freeway ridge, you can do the with no problems. I run on a 1/2 ton power tran with no problems. Only in the winter time (snow/mud) is when it can be tough.

Did you hear about the races this Sat. at the Bakersfield Speedway? Bring you own ride and racee head to head. Let's take both Burbs and go head to head!! That would be funny as hell. Also, good way to advertise the Burb for sale.!

Who is ever in charge of the website, no need to post the reply I did two days ago. I guess I shouldn't have said anything that was time sensitive since I'm new here and it takes days for my posts to show up. Thanks.

Wow that color brings back memories, my dad had an old lifted chevy truck with the same orange color and same body style as yours , funny thing is he repainted it sometime in the 90s with the same current red you painted yours. Ill try to find pics and post.

The okie bowl last sat nite had races. Bring any car and race it. First time they did this. I didn't see it, but it would have been fun to watch people bring their street leagal daily driver out there and try to make it around the track without putting it in the wall. It was a heads up race, two laps. Would have been pretty funny to see two suburbans tearing up the track for two laps. Did anybody see it?
