another JK owner ... from San Diego County

To IOR:

Obviously I'm new to this forum (hence the post in this section). I had an opportunity to wheel with some from this group out at Calico this past weekend (05/21/11). And let me say, my two older boys and I had a great time beating up our 2007 Jeep JK 2-door with you guys.

We hail from the north San Diego County area where I try to get some work done between time spent at Stone Brewery. I am an attorney with my own office and represent people throughout southern and central California. My wife sells insurance. We have three (3) boys: Torin 9, Trace 6, & Tripp 1. We as a whole family use to enjoy wheeling together in our Jeep up until Oops Baby (Tripp) came along. Now, while our youngest son is still little, it is usually just myself and the older boys on the trail; but we are always on the look out for a solution to our off road seat problem. We will likely get a second wheeling rig, probably something a bit older than our 07 JK -- my wife is not real keen on the tougher rock crawling, but she does like to drive off road, especial high-speed desert stuff.

We have a place up in the Big Bear area, so we spent a lot of time in the mountains and wheel the BB trails quite a bit. Many times we host BBQ's after runs at our cabin.

Our Jeep:
2007 SWB JK "X"
Dana 44 axles front (gussets & sleeved with RCVs) & rear, 37" BFG KM2 tires, 5.13 gears, electric lockers, Poison Spyder & River Raider tube fenders & armor, Shrockworks Front & Rear stubby bumpers, CO2 tank, CB radio, Alpine stereo & GPS.

Looking forward to wheeling with the IOR group in the future.

Ty....

Welcome! Sounds like you have a pretty bad ass Jeep. Hope to wheel with you some time.

Your JK did great in Calico!

You and your family should join us in Hungry Valley on the 26th. Its a great place for the wife to drive in the moderate obstacle courses at the campground, with some more challenging rock gardens for you to play in.

It was a pleasure meeting you and watching your kick-ass Jeep in action.

Awesome to see you here. We've met, im the human cannonball you launched off the side of your jeep at calico... Lol. One of the funniest things ever was hearing your son say "dad, i thought you werent going down there"
Nice meeting you hope to see you on the trails soon.

It was good meeting you, too, Brad. Thanks for the welcome, pointers, and the not too intense teasing. I'm sure that must come on the 2nd wheeling trip.

Sorry about that, James. You know, those stick drivers, always jerking all over the place.

My boys tend to say whatever they are thinking at the time -- no filter. There is one video floating around the internet somewhere that has one of my boys saying as clear as day, "My dad's not really the bestest driver on the rocks." Let me tell you, I got some teasing for that for quite a while.

It was my pleasure meeting you and wheeling with your group.

Thanks again.

welcome to infectious
you really should try to make it out to hungry valley on the 26th (of june) for 4 wheel parts customer appreciation day.
infectious off road will be well represented there and it being their 50th anniversary it should be a pretty good time.
while they will have trail runs of all levels we will probably have our own IOR trail run.
some will show up the day before and camp out and party with the 4 wheel parts guys.

saw some pics of your rig, awsome to have another 2 door jk on board.

hope to see you on some more IOR runs in the future
