New guy with a JKUR

Hello everyone, I was referred to this club by a guy I used to work with, he saw a bunch of Jeeps and trucks at Chuy's one night and felt the need to tell me about it.

I live in Bakersfield, have been here about 10 months now. I am originally from Thousand Oaks, but I have lived all over the U.S. because I was in the Army for over 12 years. After I retired (medically) from the Army I worked for Schlumberger in the oil fields but got laid off last December. Now I just sit at home and drool for parts for the JK and take care of my now 5 month old daughter. Still no job :-(

On to the rig:
2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Black. 3" Synergy Suspension coils with Synergy adjustable track bars front and rear, Synergy fixed length lower control arms front and rear. Fox Racing shocks. Crown steel braided brake lines. Black Rock steel wheels and Pro Crap 35x12.50 17 Mudders that only measure to 34. Gen Right aluminum stubby front bumper with a Smitty Built 8K winch shoved in it. Stock rear bumper for now and stock tire carrier with the MBRP tire bracket so I could fit a full size spare. IPF lights on Delta aluminum windshield mounts (hate them). Rigid Dually's mounted on the winch fairlead (love them). ACE Engineering fenders. Tinted soft top windows after some schmuck cut my clear rear window and stole a tool bag out of my Jeep 3 days after arriving in Bakersfield. The previous owner took off the Rubi Rails and put on the stupid side steps that rub the back of my legs every time I get out. I 1000000% hate them.

I need gears, badly. The stockers make driving a chore and I can't seem to locate anyone I trust out here to install them for me. I really want sliders, but am torn on which ones to get and have little money due to being unemployed. I also want the Gen Right aluminum rear bumper and aluminum tire carrier, but again, no money.

Welcome! Lots of Army/Ex Army guys in the club. Its not hard to build sliders for a JK, just a bit time consuming.

Cavalry Scouts are Tankers?

Whoa.... my ex's sisters husband was a cav scout and tried to tell me they were more infantry than the infantry. I assumed he was an asshat, but never really cared enough about the guy to check his story out.

This proves it.... a tanker is just a Navy man on tracks and a cav scout is just a tanker that hasn't yet come out. :thankyou:

Hey Aaron.... we have an active Navy boy in the club, while I think he doesn't go for the snake, I bet he could dig you up several guys to come rape you... no lube, no shack.. it will be just like the old days. :thefinger: :thefinger:

Your number is at the top of that list, but usually he just calls GJ because he realizes he wouldn't be in the mood by the time you got there.

Hey man do you have the wide or narrow width ACE fenders? If you have the narrow can you take a picture of the rear, like a strait up rear shot. I like the way the front looks but need to see how the ass looks.
