Goatfest JV trip Nov 16-18

[Goatman]

I'm hoping to be there Thurs morning, that's the plan. The buggy is going back together and as long as there are no snags that make me a day late, I'm leaving Wed night.

As usual, we'll be on the lakebed to the left.

Chris, maybe we'll do what we call the west coast loop, up Wrecking Ball, across Bender Alley, drop down into and up Jack North, then down Sledge. We'll see. I'm always up for Outer Limits.

No, I was just responding to Chris about possible run choices. If we're both there Thurs, there will likely be two other buggies there and Cal in my old XJ on 37's. We'll decide what we're going to run minute by minute.

Maybe Thurs run Wrecking Ball, then Highway 19, 20, 21, then over Fissure Mtn, then down Sledge. After a few beers in camp, we'll see what we want to run later in the day, if anything. I'd also like to run Dirty Love this weekend.

I'm getting a little bit sick. I wanted to put that detroit in this weekend, but I might be too sick to do it, but I still plan on going even if this hangs over into late next week. I'll just have to ride with people on the runs if I can't muster enough energy to put the detroit in.

Got the buggy fired up and running fine. There are a few more things to do Wed but if no major problems pop up I'm leaving Wed evening and will be in JV by Thurs morning. Brad, I don't know if I can get away early enough to get there Wed night, but if not I'll stop and sleep and be there by 7:30. I'll post up again tomorrow when I know for certain there are no problems, but it's looking pretty good that we'll be wheeling on Thurs.

I think I'll drive in on Thursday so I don't end up setting up camp twice. Do not think I will be there as early as you..... what time did you expect to start? I was thinking about pulling into the lake bed around nine. If that is too late, let me know and I'll adjust..... but 7:30 ain't happening over here, I need my beauty sleep! :-)

With the exception of putting the heep on the trailer and getting food, I am loaded up and ready. Half a bed full of wood should be good for half a night of Sobe bombs.

Currently planning on rolling out of here around 5am.... which should put me on the lake bed around nine.

I meant tomorrow afternoon. We've had a few setbacks at the house today, and I'm not as far packed as I'd like to be. The fridge took a shit. We've got a sick dog who can't stop puking. It's just a mess around here today. I'm surprised my axle shafts made it in the heep.

Im pulling the 5th wheel and my daughter will be behind us pulling the jeep.. that can make a 3 hour trip into a 4.5 hr trip real quick .. See ya'all this weekend....
