Oct 19-20 Stewards fundraiser dinner, raffle and trail runs

The Trailblazers are putting on the annual fundraiser for Stewards of the Sequoia on Oct 19-20. The dinner and raffle with be Sat evening at the Norris Rd Veterans Hall at 6:30. Sunday will be runs to Miller Jeep Trail, Freeway Ridge, Sherman Pass Trail, and Nightmare Gulch. Info is here: [url]http://www.stewardsofthesequoia.org/pdf/FundraiserFlyer2013s.pdf[/url]

This event was started last year and it worked well, we fed about 180 people and made a pretty good donation to Stewards of the Sequoia. It's great to support Chris Horgan and Stewards because they do a great job of representing us locally to the Forest Service and BLM and are having good success based on the close relationship that they have developed with those organizations. After all of the hard knocks we've taken over the years regarding land use and trails, it's nice to see things swing our way a little due to the efforts of groups like Stewards.

Dinner and raffle tickets will be sold at the event. Trail meeting places are on the flyer linked above. Come join the fun, eat some pit beef, win something in the raffle, and run some trails. See you there.

I would like to take a moment to thank Infectious member, and owner of Olympic 4x4, Eric. He graciously donated a cool 905 Sierra Rack ll to the S.O.T.S. fundraiser on Oct 19th. He is going to make the trek down to the fundraiser as well. Thank you Eric for supporting our local efforts to keep public lands open to the public! You rock man!!!

All raffle proceeds will go to Stewards, who do a great job of working with the Forest Service and BLM regarding trails in our area. This is a great cause, come out and support Stewards and have a good time.

I'm always working on it or broke for trail runs. Or I can't fit on the trials you guys go on. The Burb will be at KOH this year for sure. At least for 3 days and 2 nights. Hopefully I will be able to drive it home after.
