Becca this past weekend at Gorman/freeway tossed me into some over heating problems, I tried a new return bottle, a new temp sending unit and went I change the thermostat and broke off my housing. It wasn't pumping water so I'm thinking it might be a water pump... I'm getting the parts tonight but I can't be for sure it will fix my over heatin issue, I don't think I'll make it this weekend, I've just opened a can of worms...
sucky...... you new to upgrade that system to a newer Cherokee because for some reason that year has bad overheating problems ....maybe next time

If it has a clutch style fan you may want to check that first before ripping everything apart. :hitfan:

:) water pump and thermostat housing was off and changed by 5pm... Figured out the water pump was ok, dropped in a new thermostat and I felt inside my hoses and they were all wasting away, so I'll put new hoses on tomorrow and bleed all the air out of the system. And I'll go from there. I think my issue the whole time was somehow I got air in my cooling system and the air pockets were causing it to get hot...
