You guys should not be so hard on Hummers. There are a lot of things a Hummer can do better than a jeep, like
???????
??????????????
??????????????????????
???????????????????????????????????
??????????????????????????????????????????????????

Gotta be something. :suprise:

I was told by a little birdie that that you f**** were talking shit about me over here. :thefinger:
What is this some kind of circus now that you are going to measure how wide your stupid jeep is and try to make my wider h2 fit between the trees? Afraid of doing real offroad driving I see. Everyone knows the jeeps flip when they try to go over rocks and hills when hummers just drive over them. Im not going to try to sqeeze between trees that my hummer wont fit just to win a little bit of money. You guys are pretty stupid to think that a jeep is more capable than a hummer in real offroad situations. thats why the military stpped ordering jeeps along time ago and started buying hummers. Thats why you guys are just puting jeep bodies on buggies, so your little tin cans will actualy go some where :thefinger: . Chris you and your freinds are a*******s and idiots for inviting people to watch you eat your words :thefinger: . Mark is going to call you chris because I need to change it to next sunday because my boss is making me work this sunday. You can be a puss and just take the money or you can be a man and let me beat your jeep on the next sunday. Im calling Mark right now.

Welcome Mavin9 to the forum. :Thumb:

Mavin9 we like to have fun here and have more than just jeeps in this club. But you need to take a chill pill, there is no need for all the anger.
But if this is your personality, then I see why Chris titled this thread as he did. No one likes to see anyone break their rig, but it happens.
Can I ask a question, how long have you been off roading?

The reason the military went to hummers is because most people can't handle tight narrow trails , steep terrain and are afraid of tipping over if one wheel or two wheels come's off the ground. OH ,(old school) when you make a bet keep it for that date not a week later so you can check out trail

No offense to you exmilitary guys    :stirPot: :stirPot:

Brian, or MAVIN9, or whatever you call yourself. Do I have to remind you again that you do not have a Hummer. You have a Chevy Avalanche chassis with an expensive SUV body put on it; in no way shape or form does it have anything in common with a HUMVEE. H1s are actually very capable vehicles that will beat a jeep in many different terrains. Your re-branded H2, not so much, as GM just bought rights to use the name to sell one of their existing platforms at a high price. You are better off wheeling with a bare-bones 4x4 pick-up than with your H2. I am very sorry if your ignorance of these facts caused you to get in over your head with this challenge. You issued the challenge, so whats the problem now?

I understand that it would be cowardly of me to expect you to squeeze through something that is narrower than your H2, so I have no intentions of doing that. BUT, be mindful of the fact that the obstacles you will be required to follow me through WILL BREAK your vehicle and your ego. Your ride will literally have thousands of dollars in damage if you even make it 3/4 of the way through. And as I described to you last Friday, the whole video will be publicly displayed on the internet. I will also assist you in getting your vehicle out and will not leave you stranded.

I had no intentions of being disrespectful to you and was very cordial with you until you went outside and started running your mouth about what an idiot I was for buying a Jeep and calling all jeep owners a bunch of posers. Whether it be a physical, intellectual, or off-road confrontation - I am always prepared to defend my honor and not afraid to put a little brat over my knee to administer a good spanking.

I talked to Mark tonight, he told me you called. Ill go ahead and postpone till the following Sunday, but no further than that. Is that "man" enough for you Brian?

I will be honest that I, and others, are having doubts that you will show. I also warn you that if you are stalling because you want to pre-run this trail, you will be sorely disappointed. There are many different hidden canyons to run in this area and I doubt you will find the ones I intend to run.

I hope to see you next Sunday then. We'll have a cold one when its over if your not too pissed still.

Actually I was in the Army when they transitioned from the M151 to the M998 :salute: , and it had nothing to do with the capabilities of the jeep, They were preparing the themselves for the 21st century, the Army was also getting away from gasoline engines, desiel has a higher flashpoint than gasoline, so it would be alot safer. There are so many reasons why they stopped using the jeep, the Military technology was advancing and a fast rate, they needed something new, they also have been looking to phase out the hummer too, so since 1987 when they first started phasing in the hummer till they phase them out, which will be pretty soon, the hummer's life had nothing on the life the military used the jeep. :salute:

I had a H2 for a little while, yeah it can do stuff, no where as much as a H1, which I drove pretty much for a little over 19 yrs, I even got one stuck back in 1991 in Iraq, but I was trying to get it stuck... :salute:

and no offence taken!!! :Thumb: :Thumb:

I just wanted to apologize if I disrespected anyone. I did not mean any disrespect with my post. We are all adults on this site and we have fun capping on each other. If I dish it out, I will also take it. No need to get mad. Everyone has their own preference for vehicles and that is good. This site envites all types of off road vehicles to join us.

This is still bothering me.

I think you should give this kid his money back, we don't need this kind of negative exposure on our site. I look at this site as a family site. We are trying to do good by raising money for charity and this does not look good. I am not taking sides, however we don't need this. If this kid can't just join us on a friendly run, we don't want or need him.

I hope that this site stays clean, without cussing and obsenities. My 10 year old grandson is a future offroader and he likes to check out our run reports. I would hope that the moderater would kick people off who get on our site and start cussing.

Please keep it clean.

Thanks,
Scott

I understand what you are saying and when I approved his post (Mavin9) I was considering not doing so because of the cuss words.
But GJ has never said anything about censoring the board, so I await his input on this.

Hey mavin9, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we would love to have you as a infectious offroad member because we really don't turn people away. We welcome any type of offroad vehicle. Shoot i'd love to see an H2 run some of the trails we run. It's just that to most of us it doesn't seem probable for a H2 to run some of them. None of us have even seen your H2 so to be honest we have no clue what your H2 can do. You should post in the readers rides section and tell us about your H2, post some off road pics so we can get an idea what an H2 is capable of doing. Let us know all the mods you have done to your H2.
We all have fun on this forum and on the trails we have a blast, some of us take the stuff that is said as a challenge and we end up doing something in our rigs that we otherwise not have done. From what I understand this challenge all started by someone running their mouth about how much better an H2 was off road than a jeep. Chris did what most of us probably would've done and wants to prove you wrong. In his mind he thinks there is no way an H2 can do what a jeep can do and in your mind it can. As far as Chris inviting a bunch of people to watch you are more than welcome to invite other off road buddies too. The more the merrier, also means if there is a problem with someone braking down it will be easier to find a way to get them fixed and running again or a way to get help if needed.
Let try to keep this fun and clean and who knows you might teach all us non H2 guys something. Like some of the other members said this is a family site so let's keep the foul language to our self.
