Postby munepit » November 2nd, 2010, 8:16 am

Just throwing this out here. I am doing the mud bog at the Monster Truck show this Sat. The show starts at 7:00pm. Anybody can enter, its $30.00 to enter and $20.00 for crew members. You have to have a helmet and seatbelt. Thats all. If you want to do some mudding, bring your rig, any rig!!

I dont think I will need any help, but your more than welcome to join! You will need to pay the $20.00 to be in the pits with me. I think the pits will be fun!!! I have never done the deal here in Bakersfield, But I have done it in Chico Ca. It was a blast! I wish I could get a few runs, but Im sure you get just one run through the bog. Hell, I might get a wild hair and after the bog, just hit the cars!!!

I think we should meet outside the gate somewhere and you jump in my suburban before we enter the gate. I have a friend that is bringing his work truck, It has a crane and all the tools I would ever need. He wants to bring my little 38"s in his truck just in case. I will be running the 42"s that I cut just for this mud!!

Hey jeff I think u have ur dates wrong. Its on the 7th. According to there calander. I plan on entering two vehicles... oh and don't get ur hopes up on the mud bog :( I've done the tough truck event here 5 or 6 times and the mud bogs have always sucked except once. They are typically like 1ft to 2ft. Except that one time when it was 3 to 4ft. Which they didn't like cause no one could make it. (Well except for me and one other :wings: ) lol

So its on a Sunday night? Weird, I thought it was on a Saturday night. It has to be Saturday. That sucks about the mud, is it a race through the mud? I need details! What are you entering? Are you doing the tuff truck?

Do they search your rig looking for booze or beer? I have to bring some beer!

They actually only had one pit the times I did it. Take turns... and the deepness usually sucks. Not to mention the last couple of times I went to do it, they didn't even have the mud pit, so u may want to double check and make sure their going to have it. As for the tuff truck part of it, ill pass... lol I used to do it in a 78 chevy step side but man all that does is beat the heck out of ur truck and body. Not to mention, the course was always the same. Take off hit a small but steep jump (approx 2ft) than hit another one. Than take a turn hit another one but the third one has two close to one another (double jump) and if u don't clear the 2nd one u will ram it and it will hurt! The problem is getting speed at that double jump cause its so close to turn. Lol than one more short steep one. Than turn back to the first two orginal ones u started with, than turn again but this time u cut down the center for the final jump about 4 to 5ft hi...
Hopefully they actually have the mud one this time. The fairgrounds is so senstive about tearing their ground up. Am going to enter my suburban and my duramax... if I had 35's on my jeep I would enter the tough truck to see if I can break richards rear suspension lol

Do we line up the rigs so the fans get an upclose look at the rigs. In the paper all tickets include a pit pass. We are off to the side right. When I did a few tuff trucks up north, During the pit party, we all were parked in the arena and people were up close looking at the rigs. What happened last year during the pit party?

No the arena is too small for that. they bring us out on at a time to compete. They usually have us posted out back and than after the show they let people come in back and view. Unless they have something else planned...

I went to valitix website to pre buy the tickets because they are 3 dollars cheaper. $17 vs $20, however they charge $5 for each ticket and $3.50 for an odering fee. Total would have been $25.50. Needless to say I will by mine at the gate.
