Spring Break Calico Run

Let's start a new tradition for spring break, last year we did a day run that was alot of fun and my first time at Calico.
What do you guys think about a annual infectious off road spring break calico run?
I think it would be fun to stay out there for a whole week and civilization isn't that far away if we need to head into town for something. If someone could only make it for a day or a couple of days they could always meet us out there.
We could even do an Easter egg hunt for the kids.
Spring break is 4/18-4-22 with Easter on the 24th.
Let me know what you guys think as I am planning on doing this even if you guys don't want to so consider this an up coming run. Lmao

How will the Burb do in Calico. Never been there. A little body damage is fine.

A full bodied rig up the Gatekeeper.... I'd like to see that. His wheel base and width will be to his advantage, but fall in that second hole.... and recovery will be a bitch! Can't wait to see that! :hitfan:

I am down for this Larry. I think I might actually be out there the weekend prior (16/17) with my mechanic (he does an annual run on the weekend after tax day)... so if that is the case, maybe I'll roll out there on Sunday to wheel with him and stay a day or two extra to wheel with my homies from Oildale!

How is the weather at that time of year.... I am assuming about as nice as it can get out there.

The burb will leave a lot of paint on the rocks in Calico, and the rocks will leave a lot of marks on the burb. We'd have to use a crane to get you out of gatekeeper. :thefinger:

Not enough vacation time for me to burn a week at Calico, and not enough places to go there, unless you really explore all around the area, meaning getting back on the freeway and going east to the next range, and south to Stoddard Valley. Might come over for a couple days, though.

I've done odessa canyon, let's do odessa canyon. If you're not concerned about body damage you'll be fine with the burb/ It's the driver not the rig

Can we lock in a date? Some of us might need to put in for time off

my girls really don't know what they want to do during spring break, at first they were all over it and now they don't know. maybe we can still do a day run or a 2 day run but not sure. i know it's just a little more than a week away but i'll have to let you know  i've got that week off and the following week off but the following week is for recovery V(wifes getting some fuzzy dice for here rear view mirror in the magnum) :dig:

Hmm. Okay... I was looking forward to this. :(

So.... maybe I'll put together a overnight run to Cougar Buttes and Montino for one of the two weekends.
