John and I would like to set up a run to Miller Jeep trail, Sunday April 6th. Leave AMPM on 99 and Taft Hwy at 9am. Head south on 99 to Frazier Park Exit. Head west on Frazier Park to Lockwood Valley Rd. The trail starts off Lockwood Rd. The trail takes about 3 hours to reach the river bottom. We would like to stop there and have lunch, before heading up the actual "Miller Jeep Trail" which is a two mile rock climb straight up the mountain. Miller Jeep trail ends at the campground at the top of the Gorman off road park. We will then head through the park back to 99. I should be an all day run. I suggest that you have a lift and oversized tires to climb Miller Jeep Trail. There are lots of boulder to work around (or climb over). Those who don't want to climb the last 2 miles and head back out of the Valley to Lockwood Rd, but the quickest way out is always the funnest. Let me know if you want to join us.

Unless there are unseen complications with the wife you can count me in. On a scale of 1-10 how would everybody rate miller? I have never been on it and I will have to convince the wife to go.

It depends on your trail rating scale. if I compare it to other trails i have done i would rate it a 3. you need to call the forest service in lockwood. it is los podres national forest, and find out if it is open. if it is not you can go a little further down the road and do dome springs( BC-109) they dont close that trail. that trail can get very toug if the weather is wet. I would be happy to go if i can get off work.

you can almost definitely count me in...and i actually have never completed miller all the way but have completed yellow jacket twice and that was with a 4 inch lift and only one locker so yeah i would suspect that miller isnt harder than yellow jacket.......although yellow jacket is fun as hell at night

I will call the forest service tomorrow and find out if it is open. then I will post it. if it is not, does anybody want to do dome springs? or we could go play on the rock garden.

Hi Guys and Gals. John and I just drove up to Fraizer Park Ranger station. Everything East of Lockwook Valley Road is closed until further notice. So no chance to getting to Miller tomorrow. I can't find Dome Springs on the map, so not sure if open. The ranger said Pleito Creek, Salt Creek and Cherry Creek all South of Fraizer Mtn Park road are open. These are short dead end runs. Pleito Creek being the longest and the most difficult of the three. We haven't been up there since before Winter. We should be able to hit all three in a few hours. Lets still meet at 8:30 am tomorrow at AMPM on Taft Hwy and 99, plan on hitting the road at 9 am. We can decide in the morning if we want to hit Dome Springs if open and someone knows how to get there, or we can hit the three above trails. See you in the morning. John and Marcy with our Red fourdoor Rubican.

i would love to go with you guys and take you to dome springs, but i cant get off work. Gj and ruth are out of town this weekend. Andrew said he was going and he knows the trail, and if henry go he knows it as well. hope you guy have a good time and I will catch you on the next run. Maybe we can do last chance or shreader canyon, but I would hate to do shreader and break something before the rubicon trip.
