At least trying, we got very little winter weather this season so it should be all good unless mother nature decides to get freaky

Hope to make it this year... Randy and I are also going in the second week of June (dates are currently being debated), to hopefully get the trail before too much adulteration occurs (Jambos can suck my left nut!!). Once we've come to a conclusion on the dates, I'll post it up... but we plan to go in on a Sunday and wheel/hike til Wednesday, so the trip will be four to six days, depending on how we schedule the trip to and fro and will run through the weekdays (which makes the trail damn near private!!).

I just had a thought... If someone would carry my sleeping bag/pillow and tiny fuel cell, I could do the rubicon on my dirt bike :) my jeep won't make it yet but I could on my bike! And any food costs I could just furnish up front :), my bike is just a green sticker so idk how that will work.

Heavily patrolled, county road. Green sticker will likely net you a ticket.

Thinking about it... all those buggies can't be street legal... likely my previous thought is wrong. Bring it.

Green sticker is fine. Just remember, you have to drive out the way you came. The trailhead is 1.5 hours from the end of the trail.

Prolly just like last year.
We'll see if Craig on jkowners will let us camp at his place again if not find a campsite for Thursday night.
Run to Buck island or the springs (what ever everyone wants to do) camp for a couple nights and head out Sunday.
But we'll see what everyone wants to do.
The extra night of camping is nice for a day of of relaxing, fishing, repairs if necessary, or just kicking back drinking Pepsi.

So in and out? Cool... that is what I posted on PBB.

I think the extra day is a grand idea! In fact, Randy and myself added two extra days for that to the pre-run. We had such a good time hiking around Buck last year, we want to get a lot more in. Honestly.... the trail is nothing when it comes to the beauty just out of sight. My god.... we must have seen 1000 waterfalls in just a couple of hours!

Yep, Frylock and I hiked back there last year; Gorgeous scenery and fantastic fishing. I have a court case scheduled during those days, but if we settle out before then, ill go.

Staying at Buck Island for a couple days is a nice way to do it. Go swimming, hike up to Rubicon Lake, run up/down true Big Sluice, sit on your ass and visit, it's all good.

I think we had 6 rigs last year, one tank is plenty for the trail but its always a good idea to bring a lil extra just in case.

So.... you settle and coming? JKDinker from JKO might be heading out with us as well... and we plan on leaving the trailers, etc at his place.

Extra fuel is nice, my yj has asmaller than usual tank and on last da of trip had to borrow a few gallons to make it out and to gas station. We packed just about perfect amount of gear last year, ran short on drinks on last day but that wont happen this year lol

I burn just as much gas getting to the trailhead as I do running the trail! I always have over 1/4 tank left after a Rubicon run. I bring spare 3 gallons of gas just in case. If you are forced to tow another rig out, you will burn through fuel twice as fast.

Last year, I traded Whitesnake my spare fuel for use of his air compressor to run my die grinder for a trail repair on my jeep. Fuel and beer are like currency on the Con.
