This is quite last minute, but a definite plan.
James (76foxx) and I are going to do the Rubicon trail Sunday and Monday. He has to work tomorrow, so we are heading out tomorrow night around 7 pm. We're planning to stay overnight in Sacramento, hit a little bar scene and then head to went worth springs entrance to Rubicon around 9 am. Then we will head to the loon lake spillway for for the Cantina on the Con fundraiser.

From there, we will hit the trail, camp out on the trail and finish it off on Monday, then head home.
I'll bring my photographer, Becka.

I think James is riding solo. If anyone else wants to join us, the more the merrier!

Do you know what the RTF stands for...... as of late, I sure am confused of what they are attempting to accomplish. I have read some stuff on PBB (look in the con section in land use) and they have had a lot of back and forth.... the RTF is secretive and some very vocal players seem to be splitting up on different sides.... it is very hard to make much out of it, but politics and money are playing big roles. Our enemies to trail access might not only be the environmentalist.

Yea, been hearing some weird rumors over the last year of them pushing for the paving of part of the con to improve access to property development. Some crazy stuff man.

It's all about who you are supporting. Honestly, I don't know who is on on what side anymore... As some pretty serious stuff was recently said about them, their intentions are currently suspect to me. It is all very confusing.

Got one buddy from IOR to help make it all happen. Let's go make some new
Friends on the trail!

Made it to the trail head at 3.30 am. Bedding down at the Gold Trail Lodge. 5.5 hours sleep and then up for some action!

Feeling the IOR spirit, but I'm too lame to put decals on any of my cars, so
I snapped one of Jame's. :-)

Wild things on the trail....

Getting ready to push photos fo a run report as we speak! We didn't get back in to Bako until 6 am today, then we all had to go to work!
A point of carification though; She's not my girl, just a trail companion. I've got a couple of cuties that like to ride along for adrenaline adventures. And that wasn't me showing her off. That's all her own doing. She'll perch herself up on the Jeeps and go, "ok, I'm ready for my photo shoot!" If you ignore her, she'll set there and bug you repeatedly to shoot some photos of her.
