I do... but I am down.

I also don't own doors nor a top.... but hey, luckily I am down, otherwise I'd be looking for you to give me a little body heat. Damn Arron... we should start calling you Mr Sexy! And on snow runs, Mr Hot and Sexy.

You may have cancelled but I did not. I was at the Chevron Station and stayed until 0945 hours and then went on to Rancheria road by myself. On the way up the road I spotted a Black Rubicon that was pointed in the right direction , driven by a guy named Joe. He had his wife and his dog with him as did I. Pushing forward to the closed gate we met a young man and two girls driving a small sedan looking for Alta Vista Ski Area and gave them directions to their destination. We then motivated down the fresh snow trail towards the creek. After driving for a couple of miles I turned around and made it back to the main road to find Joe and his wife Maria willing to go the whole route while there was two of us. We banged it out to the end and it was very nice leaving fresh tracks in the snow. We helped one family back on to the road upon our egress and eventually made it down the mountain by 1600 hours. All told I saw around four capable machine on the mountain and several vehicles that either were not going to make it, or they brought back up to help with any mishaps. We had fun and it was a good day.....
I cancelled it. Going to buy a new tow rig in the morning.

What creek on rancheria road?! Ive ran it all the way from 178 to 155 and no creek crossing...What side did you come in from the top or bottom? We just ran the trail on Sunday all the way to Evans flat campground and made our own tracks in the snow, but never saw a creek... Freeway ridge has a creek, I think you cross a creek on basket pass a creek along 155 where there's a nice little campground... Hope both your vehicles had recovery gear of some sort along with tools to fix flats or change out to a spare... Sunday we ran across multiple people who didnt have anything... I guess they assumed a liesure stroll didn't require things of the sort... Very cool you guys had a Good time and met net people!

The creek did not cross the road. The creek was 3.5 miles down an eastern spur off of Rancheria Road near Evans Camp and a couple of miles past (North) of the Hwy 155 turn off. We came up from Highway 178 and left that way too. The trail to the creek was steep and the snow was untouched until yesterday. As far as recovery gear I have a 9.5ti, spare, fully locked, entrenchment tool, fire, medical supplies, strap, radio, phone, dog, wife (counts as an extra winch), food, water, warm snow clothes and of course there were two of us. I thought there was going to be more, but nobody showed at the Chevron. Today, I shall remove the mud from my Jeep after another job well done.

Yup, Green Jeep. The message was that everyone leaves Chevron at 0930 hours. I was there at 0920 hours. You guys must have hit it. I did see you all on the side of the road as I was leaving. We waved. Next time..........

Looks like some got to play and some did not.
I had to work all weekend, so no playing for me.
But next weekend I'm off.
I'm itching for some snow.
There's way more snow this year than there was last year. Well, at least in the Cascades and the Siskyous there is. I haven't seen the snow in the Sierras or in the San Bernadino mountains yet.
Anyone up for a snow run this coming weekend? Maybe Paiute pass or Gold Mountain down at Bear Lake?
