The 4th annual AFD run will be held May 18th at Calico

This is typically the last desert run till the temps drop down again and one of the largest IOR runs :salute:

We will be camping in the canyon leading to gatekeeper. :camping:

There will be one semi organized run on Saturday we will leave camp at 930am and be at trailhead ready to roll at 10am

Doran trail first then on to wallstreet for lunch, then down Odessa trail
After Odessa we will stop at gatekeeper, for those that want to play

After gatekeeper antics back to camp for food and rest.

people are welcome to run the trails and times they choose.

Some will camp friday and saturday and run trails sunday, others will run just a day or two everyone is welcome.

Oh... strongly suggested requirements for main trail run 33" tires and one locker

There are trail and exploring routes for those interested and there are trails for the 35" fully locked people as well

This run was started by Harry a veteran in our club as a way to raise awareness and pay respect to our Armed Forces.

Lets keep the tradition going.

Thank all of our current and former Armed service members for their sacrifices.

If I can gag and bound her on the trailer, I'll volunteer... but still would require room and board to be provided by GJ.

Some IOR legends were born at the last AFD run...

Titty Master

Oildale Moonwalk

Double Sausage Surprise

18 1/2 Year Old

And of course Nom Noms....

Lets create more for everyone to ask about for the next year to come.

Katie and I are a maybe. I have Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th off. Is anybody going up Friday to camp? I'd like to bring the JK and my v8 YJ, but I'm not sure what trails they can handle. (no gatekeeper, for sure, can't taco a tie-rod like last year, and I have no lockers). This is one of my favorite runs though and we'd love to make it.

I also got a 97 TJ for the daughter that will be 16 soon....maybe she can run a trail or two.

My brother and i have decided to camp in the canyon leading to
the gate keeper(doran scenic dr.) for a number of reasons IE: there will be SHADE
later in the morning, and earlier in the afternoon (its gonna be fckin HOT)
being close to gate keeper for the after dark party. less constant traffic/dust

most of the folks going on this run know where this canyon is.
i'm taking off friday, mark and i will go and grab a large spot.
we've seen large diesel pusher mtrhmes camped in this canyon
so that's not an issue
i hope you'll join us on the shady side :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute:
