The PTA at Wingland Elementary is looking for a few volunteers to bring their rig out and donate their time for their annual fundraiser.

Here is the email:
"I am a PTA mom from wingland elementary in Bakersfield ca... We r having a fundraiser October 5th 2013 and I am looking for vehicles that will be willing to come out to our event and let the kids look and touch and explore different vehicles. Our event is called "touch a truck"!! This is our big fundraiser for this school year and all money raised will stay in our school for our kids... "

Is anybody interested in donating their time to help the kids?

What time does it start?

Moab / St George isn't looking good for me as I am booked solid that week at work. I don't know if I will have to work Saturday morning or not.

Really want to go, as all 3 of my kids went to Wingland. I was also a PTA member there about 10 years ago!

What happens if a kid slices his finger on my fender or something. My beat up rig is not to kid friendly on the outside, on the inside is big and fun to play in.

I'll be there

I just spoke to Ashley (person in charge of PTA) she is very excited that we want to participate in the event! They will be including us on their print material and banners as supporters of the event.

She wanted to remind and make sure everyone was ok with the kids touching and climbing in/on your vehicles. Sharp edges are probably a bad thing, we could throw a little padding or band aids on them to make sure we don't cut up the children.

Setup will begin at 9am the event starts at 11am and then ends at 3pm with cleanup after 3pm.

So.... does that mean we have to be there from 9 to 3....

Sorry my bad, you have to be there and set up by 11. YOu don't necessarily have to be there at 9. You just can't drive in closer to 11 as people will prob already be showing up.

I'll join . It's AnnaLise's school so we will be there...

my rig is back together

& i took the grinder to all of the sharp edges
there was no saving my half doors they went in the scrap bin
