Veterans Day Parade
Monday November 11th
8am-3pm

We are again going to be in it and defending our title for first place! We have earned it all 3 years we have been in the parade!

We are again trying to get it organized so that Veterans that cannot otherwise be in the parade will have a ride with us, so please let me know if you have empty spots in your vehicle for Veterans.

Please do not sign up unless you are sure you will be able to attend so I can give the planners an accurate number.

Hopefully will have meeting spot posted soon and u can call me if u need directions....

Will check and see if I can get it off. Don't want to miss this one, always a lot of fun.

And my rig is out, got a few little things to finish before driving but out of time for parade so ill be riding in Beccas

if anyone needs decorations.... go to party city.... they have a flag section.... also have balloons with stars...and red blue white streamers...

Dear Veteran’s Day Parade Applicant:

[b][color=#FF0000]Your entry will be number 108. Please report on Monday, November 11th at 9:30am.[/color][/b]
The Parade Route and Staging Map are included. Entry numbers 1 through 20 and 29, 30 and 31 enter 22nd Street from Chester Avenue. Parade Organizers will be along the parade route to assist in the lineup.

Those who provide an email address will have their parade entry card with number sent via email. Those who do not provide an email address, PLEASE PICK UP YOUR PARADE ENTRY CARD WITH NUMBER AT THE STAGING AREA.Please place your number on the right side of your entry in a visible location.

Throwing anything from the parade is strictly forbidden.Do not pause along the parade route, you have 30 seconds at the Judges Stand – NO MORE, and you must maintain an interval between groups of no more than 50 feet. Your group will be disqualified from competition if this rule is violated in any way.

The route of the parade will be west on 21st Street from “L” Street to “G” Street, then south on “G” Street to 20th Street, east on 20th Street to “O” Street. Disbanding and dispersal will be at 20th and “O” (see Parade Map for the area that applies for your group as well as your staging area). The Judges Stand will be on the northeast corner of 21st and “H” Streets.

You are invited to join the festivities of the day, which includes:
Breakfast at 6:30 a.m. at the American Legion – Post 26 – Cost $5.00 (Veterans eat for free)
Flag Raising Ceremony at 8:00 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial (Truxtun & “S” Streets)
Lunch at the American Legion following the parade – Post 26 – Cost $5.00, Everyone
Award ceremonies will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. Trophies will be presented to the winners in each Division.

The American Legion Hall is located at 2020 “H” Street (corner of 21st and “H”), across from the Fox Theater.The American Legion Post 26 has proudly sponsored the Veteran’s Day Parade since 1919. This year, other Veteran’s organizations were invited to join us in sponsorship of this parade. We sincerely hope you will enjoy our 94thAnnual Veterans Day Parade.
