94 and down cherokee speedometor 3 jeeps i've owned they all went out i can't figure out why any ideas .

I think the problem is the square headlights

Buy seriously, my 98' went out during the summer & worked during the cooler months. Helped keep the milage down when it was time to sell it.

This happened on my XJ too. I changed the speedometer gear at the transfer case and the speed sensor. After that, the speedometer worked sometimes and not other times. I finally traced the problem down to a bad wire to the sensor. After I fixed that, it worked great. I have a feeling that the problem is electrical and you are going to need to spend a day running the multi-meter to track it down. Good luck.
