Does anybody have any experience or recommendation for a gas tank skid plate for a 05 TJ/LJ?

I am thinking a can of this will cover up whatever pebble got kicked up and scratched your tank already... no need to get all crazy.

Bets thing about it is that you can find a whole bunch of other things to "chrome." It will all go nicely with your chrome grill.

I hear no complains about poison spyder skids... besides there's some grinding to it to get it to fit right.

The only bad thing I heard about the Poison Spyder one is you lose about an inch of ground clearance and there are others that you have to do a little more work to install but you gain an inch or so of ground clearance.

PUREJEEP has them, $249.95
Part Number PJ5100, made from 3/16 and adds 1/2 clearance

As for condition, its good other than the normal scraps but nothing serious.
