josh & i were talking about all of the raffle goodies
(so you may guess where this all started)

several of us have acquired banners, some of which have our venders names on them.
now picture this: we're at JV, or calico, or big bear, or where ever. at our raffle, we take several pics of the members who attended that run, members who won raffle prizes, vender's banners hanging from motorhomes and trailers
(i have a 6x12 4wheelparts banner) and then we fill in the wasted space on the front page of the IOR web site (sorry GJ, nobody reads all that in the middle of the first page :bleh: )

come on,,,add to these ideas :stirPot:

Sorry Roger, I missed this post (don't usually scroll down the forum this far :dig: ).

We need to get permission from vendors first, as many of them don't like being associated with events that they don't carry an insurance policy for. (unfortunately, we live in a state where people can "believe" that its a 4WP sponsored event and bring them as a party to the case, and sue us for false representation).

If its a big club banner with smaller logos of our sponsors on it, then that shouldn't be an issue, but hanging up a huge 12 foot banner with their name on it may be a problem as most people will view it as the sponsor's event rather than ours. It would be cool to cover a trailer with banners of all of our sponsors during big runs. Some vendors will be cool with it, some may not, but we should ask first. And make sure that our banner is bigger than the rest.

I can talk to Greg Adler (4WP owner) about this to confirm. They have been fantastic about supporting our club, especially Frank and Josh on the local level. Richard at G&G has also been instumental to the growth of our club by giving us huge support. I am also in the process of bringing in more sponsors; Chrysler/Jeep just donated over $500 in gear to us last week, I am also working on Genright and a couple other big California vendors.

I am also trying to get more media exposure for us. There is already an IOR article comming out in a local magazine in the coming month (you Toyota guys will be proud) and I have been corresponding with a national publication about a write-up/story on an extreme run.

I think its a great idea Roger.
