It needs a boat load of money put into it yet, but I might as well finish up to that point. I'm missing some sensors and need to make a junkyard run soon. Maybe in the afternoon.

I got all of the harness and computer out of an s10 pickup. The engine actually came out of an old buggy project that has long been forgotten about by a friend. He said I could have the engine out of it. No telling whether or not it's actually good, but it was free.

If you need help ive done two tbi conversions, one pre smog, and one smog legal.
The only difference between the the presmog and smog legal is the use of the speed sensor signal in the ecm. To not use the speed sensor signal, you have to reprogram the ecm to think the transmission is in neutral at all times so that it doesnt look for the road speed.
The other question is what kind of spark control are you using? Are you going to use the ecm to control spark with a gm style distributor controls or use a stand alone distributor(hei)? If using an hei, you have to get a second resistor in place in the harness to fool the computer.
If you look at Affordable Fuel Injection's website, they have diagrams and instructions of what is used for non smog. Oh and if you decide to use their harness it was well worth it to me on one conversion, was simple and much cheaper than Howell.

I will be using the computer controlled crap for the coil and distributor. I read about the pros and cons of it by deleting the knock sensor also. Its there to inhibit detonation so i think I'll just keep it and let it do the task it was designed to do.

I have a question that hopefully some of you might have the answer to. What do i do with the wire that went to the 700r4 torque converter lockup if i'm not running a 700r4?
