raffles and meet and greets!

Postby Crazy Sammy » September 16th, 2012, 9:02 pm

Hey i was talking with some friends about how we have raffles at the meet and greets and i had a idea that since we do have other people in the club that are out of town i think that we should make the raffles on a run! like run bc 109 or something like that! this gets people out on the trail with us and also gives the people that show up a chance to win and maybe have a bbq so when the rigs get back we could have a picknic and hangout and bs! just a thought to actually give everyone that shows up a chance to meet wheel eat and maybe win something! just a thought of mine what do yall think?

I really like this idea.

We will have to purchase the items to raffle with club funds though, as the businesses who donate to us locally stated that they want the items that they donate given away locally (so they see a return on their investment).

Shouldn't be a problem to get some gear to give a way at a trail ride. We just can't have a "mega raffles" like we do when the local stores give thousands of $$ in gear to us for our M&Gs.

You should bring this up in the "new business" section. I think its a great idea. This will give the 3 guys in the Oxnard chapter a chance to win some stuff too. And BC109 is a great choice because its halfway between both places.

I also think we should do a meet and greet like once a 1/4 or twice a year at a middle point between here and oxnard so that the entire club and meet up at one and no one has to drive all the way to the other chapter....

at the last Noob/Ball & Chain run, 4wheel parts donated some items for a raffle, Alex from the Bakersfield store brought them out.

No saying just be between Bakersfield and Oxnard but if we have a run in say redrock or calico we could do something to try to get more people on the trail with us aswell! Kinda give people a encintave to get out and use there rigs and see what a fun crowd we are to be and hangout with to! Just a idea

I like the idea of a trail run with a raffle :Thumb:

This is something we can easily do for the Newb/B&C run in Hungry Valley too.

Ill start working some vendors in December to see what I can get for that run. That is such a big turn-out at a centralized location, it should be easy to get some vendor support. If we really put the effort in, that could be made into a pretty big event as we could get just as many So-Cal folks to attend as Kern County people.

i will also try to get some of my buddies that have shops to give a little so we could give wheelers a little more incentive to come out and wheel with us! because that is what it is about getting out and meeting new wheelers and having fun right!
