They pissed me off earlier this year when Calguns wanted to do a special run of WWP AR-15 lowers and donate 100% to vets. WWP refused, stating some BS about not wanting their logo on guns!

On top of that, the CEO gives himself a $320k salary a year, and assistants get almost $200k a year. It was recently found that the WWP gives little of every dollar to vets. Charitywatch gave them a "D" rating this year. Not good!

Some additional comments:

"Wounded warrior was a great program initially. I was one of the founding members at NNMC Bethesda. It was vets helping vets. Once it became a highly publicised cause and lots of money was flowing through it, the parasites and con men latched on and the vets were kicked out of leadership."

"Official: Thunder Ranch will no longer be doing any fundraising for Wounded Warrior. The main reason is they do not want support from guns period because guns are used by our military to kill themselves. What do they save themselves with? Nerf guns? Also the fact that very little of our money is actually getting to the families that need them. We will find charities in the coming months to help us all give but for now all money raised with our current DVD sale will go to our Seal team family... the Reece Petersen Trust fund. Thank you as always for your support. We will continue to do the best job we can to put as much money as we can to helping our military"

"New Bern had a Nick Sparks charity gala this year. Celebrities running around. Never again will help out. WW guys were pulled out so the celebs could get their photos and Sparks could get in a statement about how he understands the plight of the vets (having written two best sellers with vets in them he understands so much) and then we vets got shuffled off with the rest of the refuse. Fuck them for using wounded vets for their own self-aggrandizement"

"WW had been co-opted by the liberals since it became cool. Nick Sparks and other sundry elitist assholes are now doing WW events to get their photo-ops."

REVENUE
Total Contributions = $70,145,724
Program Service Revenue = $0
Total Primary Revenue = $70,145,724
Other Revenue = $3,912,624
TOTAL REVENUE = $74,058,348

EXPENSES
Program Expenses = $31,782,076
Administrative Expenses = $4,669,208
Fundraising Expenses = $21,306,030
TOTAL FUNCTIONAL EXPENSES = $57,757,314

Payments to Affiliates = $0
Excess (or Deficit) for the year = $16,301,034

Net Assets = $30,357,444
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

So that means that only $31,782,076 out of $74,058,348 in revenue went to vets. That is sickening. They should lose their non-profit status.

Damn, that's ridiculous. Never again. Greed runs rampant, even in charity.

This seems to be a great way to actually help the vets:

http://www.fisherhouse.org/

They have the highest rating of all the vet charities. They bring in half the revenue of WWP, yet spend more on vet needs. Nobody becoming millionairs off of donations, no anti-gun BS, no wasting millions on TV commercials.

WWP has just become a huge PR firm, selling a "brand". Its the "in" thing in Hollywood now. WWP is not even ran by vets anymore, the directors are lawyers. They were are great org years ago, but I guess that time has passed.

Oh well, lots of other good charities out there.
