So a few days ago my mom gets a call from an Indian person saying that her computer has viruses on it, and that she needs to let them on her computer to fix it. She denied them. Today Sequoyah gets the same call with different results... :/ I'm not sure of what all to do about this. I've changed boatloads of my passwords including my online banking. Wondering if I should do something about my card that I use online. I was told to wait it out to see if any charges come my way that are suspicious. What would you guys do?

If you want to insure that you get these guys to call you weekly, go ahead and fuck with them a bit. It is purely recreational to me...having fun with this bastards. The first call, I led the poor kid on for about 10 minutes, asking him questions about viruses and if he really thought that I could be infected and so on. Then right when I was leading him into his sale, I asked him if he really thought that I was that dumb. Then I just started constantly laughing at him...then he said they would call me back...And they have every week for a long time now, but always a new number and different punjab. In fact, one called last night at 10pm.

The calls all start with a name like "Mike" or "Joanne" in a real heavy Punjab accent, then go on to tell me how critically infected my Microsoft Computer is....yada yada...

Bottom line, these peeps dont have the ability to get into your bank account...unless you are dumb enough to give them an IP address and access to your machine.
