I have the old hero, and the newer Hero 2 HD. I really don't like GoPros. Crappy video and sound. But I guess if you want chassis shots, its what you gotta use.

I'm not a fan either... but am trying to get my money out of my investment.

Yes.

Video quality is just okay.... nothing special, especially for the cost. I also feel they are hard to use with the button configuration.

We have the 3. I think the vid is pretty decent for what we have played around with it so far. But still figuring it out. As far as buttons, with its wifi we can use an app on our phones to control most of it. That I like alot

You can pretty much slap the name HD on anything. Video quality can suck ass and you can still say its HD. but at least it sucks ass in HD!
