This shop in Tehachapi is famous for squeezing big motors in to little cars> all Cal legal.
it is a complete metal/ machine shop, and where my brother and i built my truggy.
besides the above mentioned activities, they also do fabrication of all types, including
full custom exhaust on most anything.

[color=#40FF00]NOW,,,[/color] We are going to produce parts for the off road market.
Sorry,,,, we're starting with a few toyota transmission parts. but we will be looking into
certain jeep "fixes" later.

on your yellow jeep, there is a plastic piece on the transfer case shift linkage that failed when you were in red rock with us .
do you remember?

what was the fix? was it back to stock or an up grade?

these are the the things i would like to address. i don't want to make parts that several other companies make ie: bumpers, sliders, motor mounts, ect, ect, ect........

although, we can make some bitchen bumpers from scratch,, giving you the opportunity to put your 2 cents in, making it "one of a kind"

I put washers on either side of the shifter where the plastic piece failed. I never had another issue with it. The "fix" I found was a $200 shifter setup that I wasn't even considering paying for. Maybe machine a metal bushing to replace the failed plastic one? I'm sure you could sell them for $20 a pop.

I fixed mine with baling wire back in 2009on the trail and it is still holding! I have seen baling wire, zip ties, e clips, and other inventive methods over the years.

Now, all of the JK guys use this easy $10 fix from O'Reillys:

Roger, If you were to package the correct size e-clip together with a metal bushing, and sell it for $5 - you could turn a good profit without even needing to fabricate anything.


Also Roger, following recent trends in the Jeep world, people are getting away from mounting crap all over the outside of their Jeeps - especially on the rear bumper. Jeepers are looking for solutions to mount spare tires, gas cans, power tanks, and hi-lifts inside their Jeeps now. This is where I would look for product development.
