Need help with sye

I just put together my 4.5 in lift and I'm needing to find the easiest way to go about a SYE I've been doing research and it looks like the hack and tap seems the cheapest way to go...but I'm still not understanding the concept of it does anyone have expo emcee with xjs and sye needing advice

I've had a hack n tap in mine for over ten years with zero problem. That said, if i were doing it today i would spend the extra couple bux and get the one with the heavy duty output shaft. Its hardly any more money.
