Just FYI... My wife's '08 JK had been making a sort of quiet chirping sound, which we noticed when the Jeep was warm or idling. When I took it in to get the oil changed, the dealer was able to locate the cause, and it turns out it was the water pump bearing. Glad it was all under warranty.

mine is making a sound like that with only 500 miles. it sounds like a cricket. it comes and goes with driving but stays on when at a idle.

Are you going to take your Jeep in and have it looked at. I took our Jeep to the dealer two times. The first time they coludn't find anything and sent us away like we were crazy. The second time they were able to find and fix the problem.

Wow, 5 days is a long time. That's good they're going to replace the whole thing, though.

yeah. Jeep does a lifetime warranty which is amazing. some things are not covered but i was told even soft top parts can be replaced down the road. everything is covered right now though and i am not one to complain but that noise was annoying.
