Hobart 140, 110v with fluxcore, all welds except cage are done with it

The cage was done with a lincoln tombstome stick welder

Need to make fishplates for frame junction tomorrow tjen can start remounting fuel cell and taking measurements for 4link

I hooked mine up at first with a spool of flux core..... let me tell you, with my limited experience and general idiocy, I promptly took my happy ass down the the gas store and bought a C25 setup. So much nicer to see the weld pool, plus no cleanup on isle six.

Rig is looking good Matt. I am jealous beyond words! We have the equipment.... just waiting on Josh s work schedule now.

Only reason ive stayed with flux is for heat and penetration. With the 110v welder if i went to gas wouldnt have enough oomph for the 3/16 and 1/4 i usually weld.

Ordering tubing for links today, gonna try to get it driving by sunday

Uh gotta charge shocks lol, only 2" shaft showing in this pic looking for 4-5" uptravel

Still got quite a few details to finish, fuel/brake lines, suckdown winch, and tie shock hoops to cage

Oh and make a complete new flatbelly skid

I am no expert, but think you need more separation at the frame side of your links.
