I have the fuel system and brakes that I'll need some help with, if anyone is up for the challenge, I'd really appreciate the help.

But... you didn't peek in to see me plead for assistance, you came to see this...

Getting close... not sure that Fordyce is a reality any longer, but it should be pretty close.

Thank you Josh for all of your help buddy.

Got the fuel cell mounted, brakes almost done (thanks Kody and Travis! for not only helping, but teaching me how to do brakes... so easy, why was I afraid? Thank you Chris.... for you know, EVERYTHING!), some electrical, started on the steering, and a bunch of little stuff.

It's coming along nicely... :drinks: :drinks: :drinks:

You know.... I had to rub my dick on them a few times before they were mounted.... now when I think of doing that, I can't seem to get myself out of my shorts before it is too late.

I have to admit.... I doubt I could have afforded the nine legs and sixteen arms a few shops were expecting for this. Josh should start a buggy building business! We may not have done things perfectly, it might be taking a while for a build that didn't really have budget issues and there was a bit of learning going on, but the end product is better than what I expected and better than most of what I have seen come out of most shops, plus I have learned a ton and become much closer to Josh and many others out in Bako. While you might hear me kick myself out loud for not doing what Chris did, this was a good move for me in general, for the last couple of reasons.

There is a tiny possibility to still make Fordyce in two weeks, but I am not holding my breath at this point. St George/Moab in October are a definite go!!

i have money put away for st. george.

some tools/spare parts together.
going to pismo-huckfest at the end
of august, after that, , , all fluids changed
in the rig, new tires for the trailer and i'm there :Thumb:

the fucked up deal is: right now, i can afford ORI's, BUT
then i can't afford to go anywhere :furious:

i choose to go play :drinks:

If this ain't it.... we're in for some good times!!

Fuck the ORIs.... your shit works well. Really well from watching you a few weeks ago.

For me... I had a choice to go one or the other... if I had already had some COs, I would have stayed with them. Hell... if I wasn't going crazy with the tube work... might have just stuck to the coils. They worked pretty good.

So okay.... St George and Ash Creek for you sir... with some of us going on to Moab afterwards. Doing half a trip will save you 300-400 in gas! Almost an ORI. lol

Assume Cliff knows the trail from what he told me last year at Moab.

Chris, I am starting to talk with Pat (aka "lefthandrubi" on other forums) about this run... he sounds interested in showing us around. I have to work out the details and whatnot, but he may be a decent guide and it looks like he enjoys the harder shit.

No, that was for St George. Ash Creek is in Cedar City, and the local club already told me they would not guide a run there because they believe the trail is closed. Cliff and Richard are our best bet to run that one.

I wheeled with Pat in Moab, he is a cool dude and loves the hard shit. If you can get him to guide us in St. George, that would be cool - although that is a hell of a long drive from Colorado.

He's already expressed some interest in doing it... I guess he was thinking about it before I asked.
