M35A2C and Jeep TJ for the new guy.

I just picked up the little Jeep TJ, and I think with the tailgate on, it might fit in the back of the big Jeep.

Little Jeep is a stock 97 TJ with a buttload of miles on it, just waiting for a Gen 3 GM v8 swap and some 35's.

The big Jeep is a 1973 AM General M35A2C (the C is for drop-side bed), bobbed to 4x4, 3" lift, 53" Michelins on custom 20x11 wheels from Stazworks in Wisconsin. It has a 12k pound winch on front and a 3k pound winch in the bed to pull the toys up the ramps, so I don't get hurt riding them up there again. 5" exhaust stack mounted behind the cab, Receiver hitch. Its a fun toy and gets looks and the usual "holy $hit" or "WTF is that?" I have driven it over a car and it does pretty well in the sand with the tires aired down to 12 psi.

I did not buy it from Hundy, but I have met him and he is a great guy and gave me some pointers on how to do my build. It was built completely by my dad and I (mostly his fab, and my design) in the driveway with no special tools, just a few jackstands, grinder and welder. Paint is Krylon Camo over the original camo. It has air setup for impact wrench, or other air tools.

It gets around 10mpg on the highway. No clue in town, because odometer is off due to larger tires.

I can show you how to turn up the smoke Chris. Mine makes a huge black cloud now since I poured 20 gallons of waste motor oil in the tank. Other than going through fuel filters faster, she runs great on the mix.

I won't be able to make it. I have National Guard duty. 1st full weekend of every month. Kinda sucks but they are paying for my school, and I look cool in camo. lol

Enjoy for me. I need to throw a locker in the Jeep anyway.

New stuff on the TJ!!!!!

The TJ (still needs a name...besides Heep) got a Spartan locker today, and I put 4 tow hooks on the other day, one at each corner....it had none before. Also put 2" spacers up front to level it out and give a little more flex to the front end (i hope). Shes coming along.

The big truck got 6" LED tail lights, quite the upgrade from the magnetic tow lights I had on it before. No more electrical tape holding my tail lights on. Looks mucho better. Just need some 9 ft long super sturdy ramps so I can put the TJ in the back of it for trail runs.
