starboard motor fired right up(what a beautiful sound with 5 in. exhaust)
port motor fired but won't idle, but haven't yet changed the filters on that side, may have to rebuild that carb.

worked on the hydraulics last night,,hope to have all that worked out this weekend.
most of the issues seem to point to the spaghetti
factory under the dash> most of the terminals are corroded from living down by the ocean.
and, of coarse, :banghead: there's not much
room to work under there.
took some dimensions, and started sketching the
new interior>with 3 of us involved, there was some arguing over this matter :furious:
(i'm the majority stock holder, i'll win :thefinger: )

picking up new fuel filters today--this will decide if the port side carb needs to be rebuilt

planning on installing some of the new windows tonight

windows are in. the electrical is nearly done. the hydraulics are all figured out>>>2 dead solenoids, out 8,,not bad. power valve was toast on the port side carb. new power valve goes in tonight. new solenoids go in friday night. (haulinass) :moon: garden hose testing this weekend, and possibly painting the outdrives.

going to the bullhead river regatta august 10th
(without the boat) hope to have it in water
(lake isabella) august 25th for further testing.
if all goes well, we just might make it over to
lake mead, mohave, or havasu before the season is over.

what season you ask.....pastey season :brows:

the beast will be put into lake isabella this friday afternoon, if all goes well, we'll be there until sunday. motors are sounding great, but i need to put a load on them. bringing all the tools, including the timing light, for final adjustments. friday morning i'll be at the DMV for boat reg.
WISH ME LUCK

Be careful on the lake. It's awfully low, and there's plenty of obstacles in the water.

the trip to isabella was a success
the beast ran well in the morning
did a few hot laps, dodging trees
however,,, we had a problem with the right side raw water pump loosing pressure, and the distributor hold downs are flattened out and don't hold the timing in check. at WOT, the exhaust is so loud, you have to scream at each other for conversation. :salute: the boat is backed up to the shop door, and we'll be tinkering through the week. hope to have it back at the lake for labor day weekend.

i have a video, that resembles the "blair witch project", but it's on my bro. in-law's cam corder
(a little CD) and i don't have the correct cables to hook it to my computer, nor will the little disc work in my cd rom. maybe my lovely wife will post pics on facebook
