Took a while for it all to come together. Thanks to Kody for all the welding. I could have done it myself but my welds look like poo-poo. Just need to do a little more touch up on the paint and figure out a means of making them non skid. Anyways heres a pic.

Next project will be a tire carrier/rear bumper.

I will freely admit they are based off the EVO ones. I just wanted to be able to use them as steps and I wanted them to kick out more when pivoting off of stuff so the EVO's didnt fit the bill. These also have four attaching points and more interior bracing joints. I didnt use DOM I used regular 30k pipe so I went a little heavier wall. The frame tie ins are 1 1/2" SCH80 (.20 wall / 1.9 OD) and the rest is 1 1/2 SCH40 (.140 wall / 1.9 OD). The end caps and plates and frame plates are 1/4" A36.
I am in to it for $175 to have the parts cut and the tubing notched. I think Kody had about 10 to 12 hours of welding not to mention all the grinding and crap I did. After all this work I definitely think the EVO ones are worth it. Hell I couldnt build and sell them for less than $700.00 or so and the EVOs are only $500.00. I just hope they hold up.

I managed to push the stock Rubi rails up into the body on both sides so hard that I couldnt open the doors. Fortunately they flexed back down when we got the weight off them and there was no major damage, just a few paint chips where they rubbed. Thats when I knew it was time for frame mounted sliders.
If any of you have the skills I have cadded out what I did and am more than willing to share the doodle with you guys so you can make your own.

More Mods

Did a few more mods and thought I would turn this into my build thread.
Had a Purejeep stubby bumper donated to me (Thanks MFDD/Kody!!). It was a little narrower than I was comfortable with so I widened it out a couple inches. I also built a tire carrier/can holder onto it.
I wanted to get some mirrors mounted that would be functional and easy to take on and off so that I can run with or without doors easily. I picked up a pair of CJ mirrors off of Amazon for $25 and mounted them to the windshield corners with a couple little pieces of 1/8" flat bar I welded on. They work well but Im going to add some of those little round wide view stick on mirrors.

Yea Im pretty happy with the stance and these should help with the breakover angle and diff clearances tremendously. Im just hoping I can get the tires to clear and not rub by trimming and bumpstopping without having to go any taller.

Not a lot of progress this weekend. I got it twisted up and it looks like Im going to need 4" bump stops. Shopped around on the net and they are expensive as hell so Im probably just going to make some. They freakin want $50 for a couple pieces of aluminum with a hole and countersink for the front and $70 for a couple pieces of 4x4 sqaure tubing. Im apparently in the wrong buisiness.
Got the tow in set for the 37's and Im still playing with the air pressure. Im at 28 PSI now and its still riding a little more in the center so Im going to drop another two pounds and see how it goes.
Beyond that I couldnt really make any progress on the Jeep so I took apart my high lift to clean it up. Ran it over with the Jeep a couple times to try and straighten it out. Managed to get it fairly straight. Cleaned it and hit it with fresh paint.
lol also bought new Jackstands today seeing as my old ones dont come even close to the frame now.
