Well I finally have started building up my 2012 JKUR.

The first step was:

Sleeve and C gussets on the front axle
JKS trackbar reinforcement brackets front and rear
TeraFlex Leveling kit 2" front 1" rear
Front shock extension mounts.

Everything was done at G&G Thanks Richard I am loving it, AWESOME work!!!

Next Step:

3-4" lift (undecided so far but looking at Full traction 3" spring kit with their upgraded track bars)
35" tires and 17" rims with 3.5" back space
Rock Krawler HD Tie Rod
Steering stabilizer relocation (unsure of the best one to use looking at terflex but I know there are others let me know)
T&T Customs engine skids
evap relocation

Thats all I have budgeted for now, step 2 should be finished end of Feb hopefully.

You doing any of the work, or having it all done?

I am out of town. I will post update pics as soon as I get back. Major things I am having done. I dot trust my welding skills lol. But I will do all the small simple stuff. I want to make sure I know how it all works so I can fix it in case I break on the trails you know.

Hopefully I uploaded the pictures correctly, here are pics of what has been done so far as listed earlier.

I would go with 37s. You already beefed up your front axle, getting enough lift, and have the engine for it.

35s look really tiny on a 4-door.

Yeah they do. I plan on waiting till taxes and then I am doing lift, tires &wheels, and maybe skids. I hope to have all that done before the ball and chain event. I have shied away from runs because I dont have a radio, winch and such. I did get a high lift and tow straps. I still need to get airdown stuff and a air system to fill the tires back up. I have been working so much it has kind of gotten pushed back.

Badger, you don't need a winch or radio to run with us at all. In fact, a lot of bone-stock Jeeps attend some of our runs and do great. You can air down with a $3 tire gauge, and air back up with a compressor that costs less than $100. If your rig has recovery points front and rear, you are good to go with us.

Sounds awesome. Most of it is working out of town so much I can do last minute stuff. But like with ball and chain the dates set so its easy ask for it off. Maybe I will see if people want to go later this month. I will be off the 21-27 or 28

Was thinking about maybe running nightmare on the 27th before it closes. Would like to have gone with the TB's but it looks like Im working Saturdays for the forseeable future. Oh well, OT means Jeep parts. Maybe you could go?

So got some goodies for the badger put them on in no time flat. Found out that I broke the adjustment valve on the steering stabilizer. Talked to poly and fox and they are going to swap it out as soon as another comes in. The engineer that designed the ats SS said it will work fine for no but won't have adjustment capability. Also pulled the front bumper to I can chop it down narrower so I don't fold it on rock approaches.

Next up rock krawler 3.5" max travel lift and 35" pro comp x terrains. Rims I am going to have to wait due to some unexpected bills. So looks like I am going to miss out on the buy 4 get 1 free bead locks.

Later on I'm going to bump up to 37" when I have the money for regearing and chip.

Ok finally took a few pics of progress. I waited an extra month for my rims. But anyways I did the 3.5" max flex kit by rock krawler, left 1" spacers front and rear. I got the atx slab beadlock rims with 35" general grabbers, steel braided brake lines and the bustier 5100 equivalent pro comp shocks for now. I have used skids I bought but have to pound them out and paint before I put them on. As soon as I get back from vacation I will be putting on the poly tie rod.

37" are most definately in the future. But with that I need to save for gears steering stuff and be using less as a DD and more of a play car. For now I am really happy with it, well see how it does on the trails. I got shipped out of town right after I finished my wheels so haven't even gotten to test bump stops or anything on the new setup yet.

Now just if someone would have warned me that I would be in for a white knuckle ride with the new setup at 65mph and high winds. Going over the grape vine was very interesting to say the least on Monday.

Curious, is it darty without the wind?

No it rides very true without the wind. No bump steer, it will track with large grooves in the road but basically I have never driven a modified vehicle so I guess it's something I have to get use too.

Shouldn't be that bad. Of course you might feel the wind a little more because of the extra height but it shouldn't dart all over the road. Are the track bars adjusted side to side properly? What's the castor angle? Probably don't have enough castor.

I am having everything check again Friday I will bring it up. The before and after alignment measurements are identical. Only other thing I can think of is everything was aligned with the stock tires and now with the bigger tires it could have changed the toe angle offset having bigger tires?

The angle doesnt change, but the "toe in" measurement increases with larger tires. I actually layed this out in a drawing once. Not sure if I still have it. Its not a drastic difference but it can be enough to put you outside where you want to be.

I changed tire pressure as per robs suggestion. And it's a huge difference. I guess I had way too much pressure in my tires. So tomorrow Friday I will have everything checked again as well but huge difference as for now. Very happy with its performance on freeway today as well.

Have you tried the tires on rocks yet? How do they grip?
