Ok so this maybe a little long and drawn out but here is the build of my 85 toyota 4runner (Misfit)
back in 02 when I set it up the 1st time
had about 9" of lift and ran 38" tsl radials. 5.29's and detroits front and rear.

Then after a few trips to the hammers I realized narrower is better so the dove tail began. I really didn't have a clue what I was doing just that it needed to be shorter and narrower.

No for the way it is currently sitting
I cut off the front clip and rebuilt the top/front end of the 22re.
cut out all of the front suspension and stripped the axle.
gutted the interior and updated the mounts for the izuzu amigo rear seat that happens to fit perfectly between the rear fender wells.
started scraping of the factory insulation on the floor to be bedlined.

Exo around cab and tube front clip.
Full Hydro steering
Rear fenderwells and interior bedsides.
New front ring and pinion due to missing teeth on the old set.

So did the taxes over the weekend. Being our 1st time filing as a married couple wasn't sure how we would make out. Well we did pretty good so the wife being so tired of looking at a pile of dented sheet metal where a truck used to stand has given me permission to spend the return. so within a few weeks we should have a TG 3link and hydro steer set-up in the garage. now just to wait for the return to come through.

So while I am waiting on that stuff working through the wiring harness and looking into making some sheet metal 4runner B pillar caps I always break and lose the the stock plastic ones.

diggin your yota build>> now hurry up
i'm running the TG kits on mine, so far so good
heading out to KOH on thursday to give it some real testing

when i picked up this first gen. it was very clean, locked both ends, single stock case, 35s, gm 63" springs
in the back, and TG 4" in front
i added a bunch of stuff over time, but seven months ago i retired it to start the new build (see "3 link project begins")
NOW: 3 link, 14 in. coilovers, arb, full hydro, chromo everything, frame cut off behind cab and in front of the motor mounts
TSL 40s, dual bead locks, dual cases> stock front 4.7 rear, 20 gal fuel cell, rear drive line disconnect, rock assault housings front and rear, drive flanges, leds everywhere.
looking forward to wheelin with ya

I am going to be going over the letters with a White paint marker.
Then I bought this color for the center dial of the hub

i assume you live in bakersfield. if it was mentioned in the first post, i didn't notice.
the meet & greet is a good start. this is (in MY opinion) a unique club. we have minimal
rules, but mutual respect for others, for our sport, and the land we play on.
we are all waiting impatiently to wheel with you

After some thought and reading I measured my frame height out right now at 26" s under the doors new goal to bring it down under 24"s with my 37" Iroks
Plan for that french the rear spring hangers and move the rear shackle mount from under the frame to in the frame like the stock front ones would be.
Then set the air shocks and links up front to match.

Was watching the KOH stream yesterday and watched a guy qualify in a truck similar to yours. Still on leaf springs with stock drive train and I think they said he was running a carb instead of injection.
Those hubs turned out nice man.

The skid plate for the tank is all smashed up so i will be building a better one before i put it all back together.
Then I got to playing around with my CAD programs and just made a rough idea for the hangers. Going to have to change it after getting the tank out and looking at the frame better but oh well.
