Is it worth all the $$ and work or just put a used engine in it? I know a guy that might have one. (Me)

It's a 93, with 135k miles. I'd want like 500 for engine, trans, t-case (np231 swap). I'd have to pull it all from my YJ.

Are you stretching the the rear axle? Were were going to do the same thing with the race jeep and we already stretched it the rear 4 to 6 inches and it still didn't fit. Only solution we had was to shift the whole drive train forward and move the radiator to the rear.

But we're thinking what's best for the race. We didn't want the drive line at to much of an angel.

Maybe a turbo 350 would fit better? I don't need OD anyway.

What stroker kit is going in the 5.2l?
Also what was cause of spun bearing, curious if it was miles, oil pump failure or starvation from running at extreme angles.
Oh and what camshaft and rockers are you going with?

I decided not to go with the stroker due to $$ issues. But it was a Campbell enterprises kit.
The cam I found is a comp cam, they describe it as a oem with increased torque. Part Number is 20-608-9. And I'm still looking at roller options.

Also it was dirt in the oil pan that clogged the intake "previous owner did not take care of it"

Ahh ok, the engine failure makes me feel better about my swap.
Going with any headers or using stock?
I have started a ton of research on this motor...most on the Internet's say if using an aftermarket cam to use stock 1.6 ratio rockers but to get the roller style.
Apparently if you use the 1.7ratio rollers and an aftermarket cam will get too much lift and possibly not be able to tune engine for the combo

Ya.
I'm going with the stock manifolds to keep it smog legal but I'm going to ceramic coat them.
I was leaning towards getting the 1.6 rollers as well. But I'm also going with aluminum heads.

So i have the tranny out with the engine.
it had a small leak on some of the seals, so would it be better to just to a exterior seal kit 200$, or a full rebuild 900$.
there is 160000 miles on the tranny.
Thank you for the input.
