A little back story for you guys back when my wife and I were dating she was doing a lot of commuting between oxnard where i lived and La where she worked and her parents live. She had a pos exploder that I didn't trust so we bought her a 2004 toyota 4runner. Which she named Sally.
Now that we are looking toward the future and decided maybe it was time for a change in place we parted out my old 4runner the misfit and decided it was time to play with something newer with 4 doors and a roof.
so the parts list goes like this for now
bilstien adjustable height struts
FJ cruiser front springs
diff drop spacers
SPC racing adjustable upper control arms
Allpro offroad 3.5" rear springs
Procomp ES3000 rear shocks
Moog lower ball joints
new driver side CV shaft
Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers
255/80R17 BFG KM2's
Future parts and ideas
Rock sliders
plate steel bumpers
winch
lights
solid front axle and links
etc.... list will probably change and grow over time.
Pics to follow later will be doing the lift this weekend and tires next week

in the "chat" area,, you mentioned "light bars"
this is just a suggestion*** do the armor before you do lighting.
diff armor, rock sliders, bumpers, body protection.
Hell,,, a CB is more important than lights
just sayin

Armor will always be more important the Light bars idea is a possible new company idea between a friend of mine and me we both currently work in the lighting industry him as an electrical engineer and me as a drafter/designer.

Can't wait to see all of this come together.
I agree with The Cracker, armor first and a good tuned CB, then lights.

I have a cb from the old truck sitting in the garage just need to get an antenna and get it mounted in and might need some assistance getting it tuned though.
As for armor once I get some money back in my account after paying for the tires I will be getting some sliders and start the plans to build some plate bumpers.

I don't know any CB it here but if you are ever in Bakersfield Jericho does an amazing job peaking and tuning the CB itself and can tune your antenna for your install if you need.

Looks like a couple boxes of work. Hey the CB shop off the Ventura Ave, he tunes CBs or I have a SWR meter some where in the garage.

Does he peak and tune the actual radio or just the antenna?

I think the wife got bit by the modification bug cuz we were looking into bumpers last night and found a company that has a weld it yourself winch mount bumper kit that might possibly be in the 4runners future

Thank you
Still got some trimming that needs to be done in the front end
We have some plastic fender liners that don't want to get out of the way of the big new tires
As I figure it that is part of the testing tuning and learning the new truck system.
Wife doesnt really mind the trimming idea as long as I dont trim it down to the extent that my old 4runner was

It handles pretty good until you hit some wash boards and good bumps on the trails then you end up broken I will post pics later once I tear the front end apart
